Gouldsburgers in Medford, NJ – Prime Beef Cheesesteak and More

Great choice for a meat vessel. Upgraded to egg battered onion rings, which were nice and light and crispy. Served with a tangy ring sauce.

This was hands downs one of the best cheesesteaks I have ever had! James was awesome kind and welcoming, I came in for first time thinking about a burger but I heard they are known for cheesesteaks as well so I forgot the name but the meat tasted fresh, roll was great, hot peppers and onions all the workers in back making the magic happen thank you for a great meal and experience. I was nervous when I heard price (like everything now days) but I DEFINITELY got my moneys worth. If you are in area and hungry be sure to check it out

I live 20min from there & my order took 40min so I didn’t feel like waiting another 40min to get my food remake & drive another 20min to get there & another 20min to get home. Come on guys, I have celiac & this is the only place around that makes Fried chicken & onion rings gluten free, but please do better!!!!!!!!

As a certified fat man who likes to think he knows good cheesesteaks, Gouldburgers is phenomenal. Puts most of the Philly joints to shame. Packed with meat cheese and onions and the roll is fantastic too. While the price is a little high, the portions are big enough that you could share it and still have plenty

I enjoyed my cheesesteak at Gouldburgers, it’s nothing like you’ve ever eaten before with it’s “everything” seeded roll. It was delicious, definitely will be back.

The wife and I tried this place on the way home from the DMV, and let me tell you, it sure brightened our moods.
It doesn’t stand out too much from the rest of the storefronts and buildings that surround it, but the building, along with the vibe that you gather from being inside, is nice and cozy. Nothing too flashy, but it’s far from bad or boring. The view of the street and the surrounding area is pretty to look at while you wait for your food and eat.
The food itself, while a bit on the pricey side, is where the restaurant really shines. I had the prime beef cheese steak and truffle fries while my wife had the chicken cheese steak and onion rings. Let me tell you, I am a fairly big guy with a much bigger appetite, and even I had to split the food in half and save some for the next day. The portion sizes are breathtaking! What’s more, the food is made right there on the spot when you order it, and the cheese steaks are literally the best I have ever had, hands down. My wife loved her food as well! All of this really warrants the pricing in my eyes.
As for the service, the gentleman that assisted us was incredibly nice and inviting, and really added to the atmosphere of the establishment. He let us know how long was left until our food was ready without us asking, and ensured that everything was the way that we wanted it.
Overall, we will definitely be coming back! I love this place!

Well seasoned, tasty burger with lots of free and extra options for toppings encased in a crusty bun. Very, very generous serving of well seasoned waffle fries. Service was quick and with a smile.

We were told the burgers were terrific. We had a gift certificate so we ordered the Gould Standard Burgers. We couldn’t tell them how we like the meat cooked, it was up to them. The burgers came with a little cooked onion pieces even though the menu said raw sliced onion. The burgers come out not really hot which was strange since we were there as dine-in customers. The burgers were small and tasted a little greasy. They have no bottled water and no regular sodas like other places. We wanted to share a flavored sparkling can and I asked for a couple of small cups and they didn’t have any. Wierd. We used our gift cert and won’t be back.

this place, definitely lives up to the hype and came highly reviewed by friends and family, and I highly recommend to all of my friends and family!! The truffle fries are perfectly crispy and not overly flavored, The cheesesteak was so full of meat and tasted fabulous As well as the chicken sandwiches and burgers! We have been for lunch and dinner multiple times and have never had any reason to complain!

Visited on a Sunday afternoon at 1:30pm.
.
Small joint, inside, 4-2 Person tables, outside (when appropriate to dine outside) they had three 2-Person tables.

Girlfriend got a cheeseburger with fried onions and cooper sharp cheese and skin on fries. I got the cheesesteak with fried onions and cooper sharp. I asked the guy “should I get extra cheese? I like my cheesesteaks on the cheesy side”, He responded “absolutely not….we make ’em cheesy. If you get extra cheese, you’ll be swimming in cheese. Everyone that gets extra cheese tells me they wish they would’ve asked first…”. So I listened, and went with the Garlic Truffle fries.

Everything was fan-freaking-tastic. That burger was delicious. It’s her 2nd favorite burger in the area, behind Gaul and Company in Philadelphia. The fries were out of this world. Now she’ll tell you she wishes they were cooked a bit longer, but I disagree….They were just how I like them (I prefer them barely undercooked, as opposed to overcooked).
.
My Cheesesteak was really good. Maybe the best in South Jersey? Nah, I liked Lillo’s tomato pie #1 in Jersey still. But this was good. I think it was the bread that I am STILL not sure if I liked it or hated it. Meaning, they use bread from Boaggios Bread, which was very good. However, it’s like an “everything bagel” bread. I prefer my rolls just seeded. The “everything” part, I think took away from the deliciousness of the meat and cheese. However, it was still solid….but next time, it’s burger or maybe I’ll try a chicken sandwich. The food was top notch. Just know, it’s a small joint….

Gouldsburgers is the ideal corner-store steak shop.

First I have to give a shout out to the staff, that team is an absolute unit and in the hour that I spent there on a hot, busy Friday afternoon they did not get a single chance to catch their breath. They just kept taking orders and rapidly slinging out top tier food with a smile.

Now on to the food. After being recommended to me on 5 different occasions throughout the week I finally went to try the cheesesteak and fried onion rings which were toted as being some of the best around.

The Steak:
If you followed the hype train to Lillo’s Tomato Pies for their steaks, you should follow it here too. Cooper sharp, fried onions that basically melt into the meat and thin sliced steak – these guys know what they are doing. The “Everything” roll was unique, delicious and definitely worth a try.

The Onion Rings:
Definitely some of the best I have had, no soggy onions that pull out of the batter, they’ve got just the right amount of bite and are so crispy/flaky that you will not care amount the mess you are making.

With free parking right across the street, and food this good I will without a doubt I will be back to try the rest of the menu.

P.S. They sell the Saratoga water that you will need for your morning routines ifykyk lol.
