The walls are decorated in sports memorabilia and September 11th tributes. When you walk in, you will see the Statue of Liberty.
I tried to sit in the Mets section, but that was taken as it is a busy place, so I sat near the Yankees. I was ok with the photo of Don Mattingly and don’t hate the Yankees, I just love the Mets. I made sure to spend some time in that section before leaving, seeing the 1986 tributes to Mike Piazza, Jose Reyes, and David Wright. It is just fun to be surrounded by the memorabilia.
The sandwiches also follow in the New York theme. I ordered the Mr. Met, it had ham, turkey, and roast beef with lettuce, provolone, and tomatoes. I’ve had it before, so I knew it was good and ordered the full size rather than a half. I enjoyed every bite of it.
The service was friendly, and they have daily specials with a different sub featured each day. The food was prepared fresh and fast.
If you are looking for a high-quality sub, this is the place to order from
Gotham’s atmosphere is themed in New York sports memorabilia and articles about NYC. Fountain drinks are located in the back of the dining area and features Pepsi products, sweet tea and unsweet tea. The massive menu features Breakfast options and lunch/dinner options as well.
Service was great, more than happy to provide some samples of sauces and chicken salad as well as explaining sandwiches and options.
Food was good. I do feel that there were some things that could have been changed to the meals that we ate that could have improved the construction. However overall, the meal was fine. We would definitely try it again if we are back in the area and wanted sandwiches. The Carrot cake was a little dry but had good flavor. The chocolate chip cookie had an odd flavor but was very soft. The buffalo chicken sandwich has cream cheese, and the buffalo sauce has ranch in it which made it a very mild in Buffalo flavor. Plus the lettuce being sliced and shredded made it so the lettuce fell out of the sandwich a bit. The sourdough bread was good and nicely toasted. I opted for the bowtie turkey pasta which had a good creamy flavor.

Young man suggested Dark Knight! And I tried the home made potato salad. Not like my sis’ but it has me hooked! Awesome!
I blindly picked this on way home because I didn’t want the same! And it was a really great choice. If your in the area (Smithfield NC), put it on your list of places to eat!!!!
I’ll definitely go out of my way again, and maybe soon. Sure hope I try something different just to make sure.
I ordered the turkey ruben called the Rachel and oh boy was it delicious! I grabbed a slice of cheesecake to go and it was amazing. Many options to choose from, so the hardest part was deciding what to get.
You’ll definitely want to preplan if your are going to downtown Smithfield, so you’ll know where to park.
