This feels like a place for people who feel that going to Nordsee (the restaurant chain) is beneath them, but they still really want Nordsee. The fish was good, nice and flaky, but the rest was more like an overpriced cafeteria (just like some other reviewers already said):
1) self-service, the only thing servers do is take away your empty plates
2) the noise. Not only is it loud when the restaurant is crowded, you also hear buzzers going off all the time when a dish is ready
3) the sides are not that great. Pasta was overcooked
4) that basil sauce has never seen a fresh basil leaf ever. Which is really not that hard – just add one or two leaves for garnish! It was either dried basil or some pesto base.
5) the sauce was also splitting right when it was served. Not sure what they did to it
I think you might as well just go to Nordsee. The fish is of a similar quality and the sides are also not worse than here. And it’s more affordable. The only thing you don’t get is wine alongside your meal

Fresh and delicious food. Grilled prawns were very tender and perfectly cooked. Loved the crispy fried calamari. Sided with fresh salad and tasty sauces. The ambience was relaxing and warm with good service from the staff. Overall a great dining experience with very reasonable prices.

During our trip to Kiel, we ate at this restaurant 3 times and everytime it was a great experience, especially with the quality of the food. It is a self-service restaurant where you can order food and drinks separately at 2 different counters. The service was pretty fast. And the quality of food, especially the fish dishes, was excellent. We definitely recommend this restaurant.

I ordered a double cappuchino. Soon, the barista said they didn’t know how to make it a double – so they seperated it into three different cups, with the two espressos in each glass and the milk part in a larger coffee cup. I genuinely thought it was a joke. He wanted to charge me for the three seperate cups. The manager came out and remarked how they don’t make double cappuchinos here since they don’t have the cup capacity, so we shouldn’t have asked for that. We backed away, slowly. It was a wild moment.
