First time eating here. Prices were so much better than other places we’ve stopped. I was pleasantly surprised how fast they got us our order. The bacon deluxe burger was loaded with toppings and delicious.
The onion rings were perhaps the best I’ve ever had. The fries were okay.
I had heard the shakes were good so my wife and I split a strawberry shake and it did not disappoint! It was so good.
Highly recommend stopping here.
Oh, and the employees were so friendly even though they were really busy.

Highly recommend! We had a California burger, chicken tenders, small fries, cheese curds and blackberry shake. They were all good, however my son said the tenders were soft. He loved the fries. Great atmosphere, vibe, plenty of seating and parking. Rich history and worthy of a visit!

We got there on a Monday at 1pm and the line went out the door forever, the wait went pretty smooth about 30 minutes and the line was not any shorter when we left. 3 milk shakes, 2 fish and chips platters, one double hamburger, 1 mushroom and Swiss burger (my only knock are the mushrooms used are not great at all) onion rings, fries and cheese curds. Once we ordered the food was available in less than 10 minutes. The guy taking our order was fantastic. Def understand why this place is so popular.

Typical American food restaurant, which is famous in Duluth area all because of TV food channel has been introducing years ago. In fact, nothing surprising. One good thing is nice/fast service though there is always a long line. Plus, they kindly offer several picnic tables and restrooms in the parking lot for customers and people who just drive by.

Came to Palisade Head to see the sunrise even though the footpath was still covered in snow with my fiance and we arrived at Gordy’s early to eat in. As a British person travelling up here for the first time, I especially wanted to try their Fish n Chips and burgers.

IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!
The food was amazing, the batter of the fish, the juiciness of the fish, patties, fries and shakes. It was heaven. Also, the people working here were probably one of the most friendly and approachable staffs I’ve seen. I love how they try to make conversations which makes the visit more memorable. Overall service was great.

Price was also very reasonable! Me and my partner would definitely be back here to eat as we were from further down the state.

TL;DR: Good food, food prices, good employees and an easy 5 stars.

If you are anywhere near this place, I highly recommend you stop and grab some food. The place still looks straight out of the 60s and has some of the nicest employees I have ever met. Food was ridiculously cheap with huge portions. The double cheeseburger was juicy and greasy, just the way I like it. I tried the limited time Honeyberry shake and it was delicious, I definitely recommend as well. They have a lot of outdoor and indoor seating and a dog park and separate coffee and sweets shop.

So good! The food was fresh and hot. Definitely worth the hype, but be prepared to wait to order. I do wish they had soda machines for refills. Also have an outdoor play area and plenty of bathrooms available.

This is a Guy Fieri Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. They proudly have it on many items that say it around the restaurant. The food was amazing, and now I know why they’re so busy. Order your food at the counter, then go sit where you’d like to enjoy it. Put this one on your gotta do it list. Enjoy…

Great burgers! I usually get the single bacon cheese burger. These guys apparently know what they’re doing – always a crowd every time I’m here. The service is fast enough that you’re never waiting in line as long as you think you will. As for sides, huge generous portions. I’m my opinion a regular order of fries is enough for two. FYI, a chicken burger, as listed on the menu, is not ground chicken, but a chicken breast, grilled or crispy. Just wanted to clear that up for you.

I heard about Gordy’s in Cloquet, MN online and decided to make a 3-hour trip just to check it out — and I’m so glad I did! This place is clearly a local legend. When I arrived, there was a huge line, and it never let up the entire time I was there. People just kept coming — and now I understand why.

The menu is massive, packed with classic drive-in favorites and plenty of specialties. We tried their classic bacon cheeseburger, and wow — I could honestly eat that every day. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. We also got the spicy chicken burger, and it was just as impressive — crispy, tender, and full of flavor without being overwhelming.

For sides, we ordered cheese curds and onion rings, and they were made to perfection. Not greasy, not soggy — just crispy, hot, and satisfying. Before heading out, I grabbed their famous chili to go, and I have to say — it’s one of the best chilis I’ve ever had. Rich, hearty, and full of flavor.

We also tried their seasonal wildberry shake, and it was fantastic — thick, creamy, and bursting with berry flavor. A perfect treat to go with the meal.

If you’re considering visiting Gordy’s, don’t think twice. It’s absolutely worth the trip — great food, nostalgic vibe, and an unmistakable charm that keeps people coming back. I’ll definitely be returning!
