Their beef taco taste like a big mac, the servers are very friendly, and they are authentic Mexican (corn tortilla) so most of their tacos are gluten free. staff gave us some great suggestions for other places to visit in the city.

Tacos were okay, but nothing special for the price point. They do not skimp on the amount of protein in each taco but the bites without any topping weren’t super flavorful. We also got chips and guacamole, the guac was good but the chips were over salted to the point I had to use a napkin to brush each chip off to remove some of the salt. Our server was not very attentive and took a while to take our order, and it took forever for her to come around after our food came out so I had to ask another staff member if they could bring us hot sauce. Probably won’t return.

Walked down to Gordo’s after having lunch at Coughlin’s Law on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Note to self, self: Be sure to make Gordo’s first stop next visit to the Mount. Sitting at the bar watching made from scratch dishes prepared in front of you will tend to sway your mind like that.

Unique taco options in a welcoming place. I have dietary restrictions and was still able to find options here. The fireplace upstairs is cozy for when the weather isn’t great. I wish I had tried a margarita because the options looked interesting.

I left an extensive review here before I lost my previous account. Anyway fast forward and they have a late night menu to make up for the lack of food being offered after 10 on most fri-sun. So my review absolutely made an impact and I’m glad to see a business taking it’s customers reviews seriously. The food here is good I love their tacos and the street corn. Service is pretty good also. The upstairs area is really nice but sometimes closed even on days where they seem busier than you’d expect for the first floor. Have been coming here since I discovered it and will continue to do so. Definitely try the brisket tacos. Before 10pm though!

This is a great find. The location is very nice and minimalist. The bat is stocked with great high end options for the discerning drinker. They do also have their own margherita that I hear are great.

As a first time visitor to Pittsburgh, I wasn’t sure where to eat on a sunny afternoon. A bartender from another bar recommended a nice little bar to explore. When you’re here, you’ve got to visit Gordo’s (Tacos & Tequila). Just met the owner, Brian, the real boss, Jen, and a fabulous server, Julia. Mexican food that is fresh, homemade, and great atmosphere. Best margaritas (coconut/pineapple), guacamole, tacos, and especially the quesadillas we’ve ever had…and Tracey knows her food! Take the Monongahela Incline up the hill and walk up Shiloh St. Restaurant is on your right!

The atmosphere is great and the staff is friendly. The guacamole chips ratio is way out, that was a bit disappointing. We wanted to try the fish tacos but they were out. The overall experience was good; food was well seasoned. Would definitely come back.

What a gem of a find! We’re in town for a good friend’s wedding and looked for a place to hang out Saturday afternoon before it. The food did not disappoint. The Charred Tomato Salsa and chips was great! Could have used a little salt to bring out more flavor, but was good. The. Had the brisket quesadilla which was fantastic!
