Gordos Hot Chicken serves Nashville style hot chicken sandwiches and chicken tenders / chicken fingers spiced to your liking! Along with our mac and cheese pineapple coleslaw and Hawaiian rolls! We offer these on any food you order! | No Spice | Mild | Regular/Hot | Spicy | We’re mostly known for is our famous Gordos Fries which come with our special one of a kind Macaroni and cheese and we sell out of everyday! We’re surprised because we thought that only happened on popular food trucks but we’re blessed it happens to us too! A Food truck started in South Oxnard by a couple of kids born and raised in the 805 in 2021 that has now grown to 2 food trucks one on the south side of Oxnard and the newest one in the North side and a restaurant.

First of all the collaboration between the funnel cake truck and the hot chicken is a perfect match!
I order my hot chicken sandwiches and then I order my funnel cakes since and they are usually ready at the same time.
They have buzzers so I can actually wait in my car while my food is being made or sometimes I sit in my chair. They offer phone orders and you can find their number on their google page. The chicken is crispy and juicy just like at their original location and the Mac and cheese is always on point but when they sell out I do get sad which is why I always try to be there early. I love the pineapple coleslaw and the sauce is perfect.
Parking is easy and getting in and out is also easy!

The coleslaw was amazing! I wish they would add more of it. The mac definitely had more of Italian pasta style, not your average Mac and cheese. Concerning the sandwich it was a bit cold. The taste was average, it wasn’t anything I haven’t had before. This place is good but I don’t believe I’d return again. The parking situation is pretty convenient.

The truck on Oxnard Blvd has good food BUT I went to order and saw it was 10:01 pm I thought I can still order I go and they mentioned they close at 10. I respect closing time but this truck in my opinion is ran by a bunch of teens who don’t take pride in what they do. A customer arriving one minute after closing I believe should still receive service. Like this place but it’s the little things that matter.

First of all I have a lot of good things to say. I drive there to get my fix. The crispy chicken always pairs good with the delicious mac and cheese when I order the Gordo Fries. They add the perfect spice just to the point where it’s spicy but adds that extra flavor. The fries are nice and crispy and the seasoning is just bomb, I can say not that many places have this good of food. They tend to run out of mac and cheese fast so I always go early around 6 or 7, but when they do run out I get sad, but the delicious Gordo Sauce always does justice. But with all that said I love the atmosphere the cashier is always nice and respectful and is always checking up with me. Best Hot Chicken in the 805!

I was on a time crunch and I needed to get a gift card for my son’s team basket for opening day at the El Rio Little League. I had called another of my favorite tacos trucks to see if they offer gift cards as I wanted the card to be something local and own by local Oxnard residents, I called and I had not luck as they did not offer gift cards or anything that I could give to others as a gift. I then thought of Gordos and I gave them a call and they were willing to work around also not having physical gift cards and were kind enough to make up a “gift certificate” on the spot and added a free had on top of that. Which made me realize that customer service goes a long way. The first taco truck, didn’t bother to work around the issue of not having gift cards but Gordos was willing to do it without a second thought.
That is what customers service is all about. Being able to think outside of the box and have customers walking out the door with plans to come back for more.
The place is also very nice and it’s a perfect location to get some chicken!
I’ve had the sliders and they’re absolutely delicious with extra sauce. Next on the to try list will be the gordo fries.

1st time hereTook 10mins to get my order I got the #1 spicy I was super exited to eat this chicken and was quickly disappointed that my food wasn’t hot. This place should remove the Gordo hot chicken cus the chicken was like warm. Very disappointed ☹️

Amazing hot chicken here. Would recommend only the normal/hot spice level on the chicken as the mild was under seasoned. Their gordo sauce is to die for. Think an upgraded version of that big chicken chain that closes on Sundays. 3 stars for location as it’s a bit difficult to find and right next to a large roadway, don’t let that deter you though! Food is well worth it.
