Gordon’s menu has some unique local offerings with fresh ingredients, prepared to perfection with lovely presentation.
The view of the bay through large picture windows is serene and compliments the natural architecture and design.
I enjoyed the kimchi burger, fries and a side salad. The kimchi was not very spicy, but it did add a nice flare to a perfectly grilled burger patty and toppings. The steak fries were thick, crisp, and a perfect portion. I felt the salad was a bit sparse, and the dressing options were limited and not very seasonal.
Our service for a group of 6 was less frequent and eager to serve than expected, hence the drop in stars in the rating.

Restrooms were single stall, gendered, and did not include changing tables.

Though Gordon’s does offer a kids menu and high chairs, it’s not an ideal restaurant environment for children.

We came in between lunch and dinner, but I expect reservations are needed for busy hours.

We really enjoyed everything about this place: the views, the service and the food! Would love to come back! We had flank steak, chicken breast from the kids menu, tomato bisque, steak frites, and ravioli with prawns. Everything was fresh and tasty. Thank you!

We walked in and had the staff walk past us 10 times before being acknowledged (it was only us standing there). Once someone finally approached us, she made it seem like an inconvenience by saying she’d need to work “magic” and ultimately we were “lucky” to get a table. It was odd and almost ruined the entire experience. Thankfully, our waiter was personable and the food was good. We ordered the Clam & Mussel Linguine (4.5 / 5) and Salmon BLT (3 / 5). The scenic view helps to create an enjoyable atmosphere while you eat. Overall, I don’t think I’d come back due to poor first impression and relatively average food for the price.

I was excited to try this place with my brother, I came to visit from LA and decided to make it an adventure, by taking the ferry to the island and drive up to Bellingham. I checked out the reviews and ppl hyped this place up. So I had to try this restaurant on a hill with an water front view. From the time we pull up, to check our name on the list it started, there was no host to take our name down. So I waited 10min standing there, until they even acknowledge me and my brother. So the man said we can seat now but it would be outside, It was so cold not even the heaters were helping. So then our waitress came took, our order for drinks and appetizers. The wines we tried were very dry and she was out of the ones we wanted to try. So I ended up with Huntsman Cab. It was not the greatest wine. I order Mussels and Clams appetizer and Squash Hush puppies. I liked the the Hush puppies they were delicious. For my main dish I order Seafood Jambalaya. That was great but the Mussels and Clams I didn’t like. Me thinking that, since I didn’t like it. She would’ve taken it, out of the bill, but she didn’t so that was bummer. Also the other thing she brought all the food at once even the appetizers. Then we asked to see if there was any open tables inside because it was getting cold, she said she would check, and came back and said, no open tables. I went to use the restroom 5 min later and I saw like 7 tables open. I don’t think I would come here again, they need to improve the customer service experience and not lie to the customer.

Well curated brunch menu – something for everyone. Food was perfect, buttery grits, a flaky biscuit, and a savory frittata.

Couple good food, friendly and attentive staff with a beautiful space adorned with local art and a picture-perfect view.

A true gem of a restaurant that should be on the must-try list of any Whidbey visitor.

We’ve been in the past but this time I wasn’t crazy impressed. The food was good. It wasn’t amazing though. Maybe just an off day. Still a nice place to eat. Service was good. The view is spectacular.

The view and the restaurant are beautiful, the grounds are so quaint and cute. Our service was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious with so much flavor in the gumbo and flank steak. Perfect wine pairing.

This was our least favorite food we ate on our trip, but the most expensive. The bread just tasted like generic sandwich bread and the menu said bread service and they brought a huge dish of olive oil and I asked for more bread and they charged again for it. Why label your tiny loaf of bread as bread service? And if it only comes with one small loaf, why give soooo much olive oil, it’s so wasteful! And then they took away my soup without asking before I could finish. And the steak just wasn’t great and the veggies were very over cooked. The coconut prawns were very good.

Quite a last minute decision to eat at Gordon’s, but a very good one!

We got here about 30 minutes before closing Onna Sunday, were seated in about 10 minutes and we’re attended to quite quickly after.

One of my friends and I got the Macadamia And Sesame Crusted Ahi (with Mango Salsa) and asked for extra Seasonal Vegetables instead of Coconut Rice.
The kitchen messed up the order and kept the coconut rice, so we had to ask to take it off.
The dish itself was really good though! Ahi cooked just right, went well with the salsa, and beautiful vegetables too! They were cooked so well I got extra vegetables and wouldn’t mind having it as a dish of its own!
There was also an amazing sauce on the Ahi that was just beautiful!

Another friend got the Ginger Marinated Steelhead (with rice, mango salsa and veggies too). She happened to see some insect in there, so asked for a replacement.
She asked to switch out the order entirely and got the Sambuca Prawns (tiger prawns over spinach and ricotta ravioli in sambuca sauce with basil, spinach and tomato). She was hesitant about the sauce before and didn’t go for it initially, but loved this!
I tasted some of that sauce and it was really good!

And REALLY big portion sizes too! We all had leftovers for a second meal!

We had a really friendly and understanding server as well.
