Visited Gordon Ramsay Steak at River Rock Casino Resort for a late-night meal after watching a show, and it turned out to be such a memorable experience.
We ordered the special three-course tasting menu created for their one-year anniversary: Beef Carpaccio, Beef Wellington, and Cheesecake. From the moment we were seated, our server Michael made us feel genuinely welcomed. He was attentive, polite, and very professional throughout the evening. What really stood out was how perfectly the table was prepared, each course arrived with all the proper utensils already set. We never had to ask for anything. That level of thoughtfulness and attention to detail truly elevated the dining experience.
The beef carpaccio was sliced to perfection, thin, delicate, and beautifully arranged. I especially appreciated that it was lightly dressed rather than heavily sauced. The seasoning was balanced and subtle, enhancing the beef without masking its natural flavor. This allowed the freshness and quality of the meat to truly shine through. It was clean, refined, and an elegant start to the meal.
The undeniable star of the night was the Beef Wellington. The pastry was beautifully golden and flaky, yet moist and rich with a buttery finish. Inside, the beef was cooked perfectly, incredibly tender, and full of deep, natural flavor. The quality of the meat really stood out with its clean, rich beef taste, no overpowering seasoning, just pure, well-prepared beef at its best. Each bite had the perfect balance of crisp pastry and succulent, flavorful meat. It was easily the highlight of the evening and absolutely unforgettable.
The cheesecake was beautifully presented and smooth in texture, though slightly sweeter than our personal preference. Still, it was a lovely way to end the tasting menu. To make the evening even more special, we were surprised with additional treats at the end of the night, a thoughtful touch.
The quality, portion, service, and overall experience far exceeded expectations. Between Michael’s attentive service, the beautifully executed dishes, the extra treats, and especially that outstanding Beef Wellington, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish.
We will definitely be back, particularly for the Wellington.
First of all, the service was top notched. It’s not one person serving you, it a whole team. Everyone was professional, friendly, and made you feel welcome. This was our first time here and Mayank answered all our question and offered recommendations. Not once did I feel like he was trying to push one dish or try to upsell something
As for the food, our appetizers and deserts were done amazingly well. I usually don’t like things that are too sweet but I couldn’t stop eating the sticky toffee pudding. For the mains, the lamb was cooked to perfection. It was tender and flavorful. My salmon was bit overcooked and dry. The curry sauce was on the bland side and I couldn’t really taste the curry.
I wish they would tell you up front that there is a 2% surcharge if you use a credit card though. I would have made sure I had enough cash. With drinks and tips, our bill was almost $400 for 2 people and like most “fine dining” experiences, a few hours later, I find myself sitting at home munching on snacks because I’m hungry again. Overall, I was happy with the evening, but it’s not a restaurant I would go to on a regular basis, maybe just on special occasions.
We celebrated Sarah’s birthday at Gordon Ramsay Steak, and I honestly don’t think it could have been done better if we tried.
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere set the tone—elegant, warm, and buzzing without ever feeling overwhelming. The dining room feels luxurious yet comfortable, the kind of place where time slows down and every detail matters.
The service was truly next-level. Our server Raghav was exceptional—knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely kind. He didn’t just serve us dinner; he helped create a memory. Every recommendation was spot-on, every check-in perfectly timed, and he made Sarah feel like the star of the night.
A massive thank-you as well to Sous Chef Aldrich, who went above and beyond in the most thoughtful way. The personalized touches—the beautifully decorated plates, the stunning birthday dessert presentation, and the care taken with every detail—turned an already incredible meal into something truly special. You could feel the pride and passion behind the food.
Now… the food.
The Beef Wellington was absolutely to die for—perfectly cooked, rich, tender, and everything you hope it will be and more. The caviar was pure indulgence and completely heavenly. The drinks were balanced, creative, and gorgeous. And the desserts? Stunning, delicious, and elevated even further by the birthday presentation that took our breath away.
What really sets this restaurant apart isn’t just the world-class food—it’s the people. The staff genuinely care, and it shows in every interaction and every detail.
Thank you to the entire team, especially Raghav and Chef Aldrich, for making Sarah’s birthday so spectacular. This wasn’t just dinner—it was an experience we’ll remember forever. We cannot wait to come back. ✨

We really had fun with our experience here.
Wagyu was amazing, expensive, but amazing.
You can really tell everything was very well made.
Even the types of food we didn’t really *like* (funnily enough, it was the risotto and beef Wellington, the ones you see most on the show haha!) were rich in flavour.
It wasn’t as if those dishes were bad either, they were simply not the types of flavour we enjoy. It was on the milder side and we do enjoy our bold flavours…
On a side note, the toffee dessert is to die for.
