Well cooked meat on the asada tacos, really good flavor and not expensive. They come with cilantro, onion and lettuce, but tacos like these don’t go with lettuce so will have to ask for it to not be added to the tacos. Other that real good tacos.

I LOVE the homemade corn tortillas she makes!!
I usually have beef when I order there and unlike so many other Mexican restaurants, it’s not full of connective tissue and gristle.
If this same food was being served in a fancy atmosphere, you’d be paying double for it.

First time dining here and it was okay. We were unsure how the ordering process went because when we walked in none of the staff greeted us or said anything. Eventually we saw the “order here” white paper posted on a pexi glass at the front register. They had a stack of menus by the register that you could grab to see what you wanted. We ordered a variety of gorditas, including the Al pastor, papas con queso, and jalapeño with cheese. The Gordita fillings were delicious. So favorable. But the flour used to make the Gordita was stale and hard.The consistency was like play-doh when it’s been left out. The carne asada was bit too salty for my taste. The aguas frescas were good, particularly the horchata.
It was nice to experience this restaurant for the first time but not too excited to go back.

I had the platter with pork, potatoes, and Chile Verde. Corn tortillas we’re fresh and fluffy. Meat was tender and flavorful! Rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned well. If you are looking for quick, inexpensive, authentic Mexican, Gorditas Norma is an excellent choice.
