We were there at opening for Sunday lunch buffet. This is what was on the buffet. The first thing i noticed was the paper plates that were out to serve ourselves on. My family and me all only had the rice and chicken tikki masala because that was really the only real entree choice on the buffet. The rest of was sides and such. Not even any salad, fruit or veggies choices. No spinach, no flat bread. We did get burnt bread as we were finishing our plates of rice and marsala. we were asked if the food was too spicy. Told the lady no there was just literally nothing to eat. We were still charged full price for our “buffet”

Gopuram restaurant offers a $15 lunch buffet that, while not the most extensive in terms of variety, impresses with its perfect taste and quality. Every item served is not only fresh but also piping hot, demonstrating their dedication to providing a delightful dining experience. The attentive service from the staff and the pleasant ambiance add to the overall charm of the restaurant. While you might find fewer choices compared to some other Indian restaurants, Gopuram compensates with its commitment to delivering exceptional flavors. For an affordable and satisfying Indian meal, Gopuram remains a solid option, showcasing the essence of Indian cuisine.

Guporam, where to start
Your restaurant hours for lunch are 11am till 2pm, so your employee should not remove items before 2pm.
We came at 1:15pm, and the first thing said to us was we close at 2pm. Why not say welcome and enjoy the food. You still have 45 minutes before closing.
We saw a customer who came in at 1:40pm, he was told at the door that we would close in a few minutes, he walked away, you lost a sale and a customer.
Compared to 20 years ago where gopuram started on 23rd Street, this local restaurant is nowhere close to the quality and standards which kept customers coming back.
I am not going to get into the quality of food, not surprised. However we were very disappointed to pay $12.99 plus tax, for 4 people $56.60 with tax add another $6-$8 for tips. So about $64 bucks.
The butter chicken was watered down and there was nothing on the buffet line, when we asked for it, employee Omar chopped down some raw chicken breast and quickly cooked it in the sauce, let me be honest the chicken meat was raw, chewy and dangerous undercooked.
Owner Verun, Kindly take this review as a chance to improve your restaurant’s guest experience.
You have worked very hard before to maintain the quality and food standard. This is not how we remembered Gopuram. Very Disappointed, Period!

I love this so much! I’ve eaten at Gopuram over 30 years and it’s consistently delicious. They have the best Tikka Masala and I’ve tried it everywhere. Be sure to try the tomato chutney. The location is a little run down but always clean and the young man that runs the buffet is so friendly. He will bring fresh Naan, chicken, whatever. Please spread the news and give them more business.

Been here several times and always pleasant servers, plenty of seating available and hot fresh food. The naan was charred the last time we went, but usually the naan and chicken tikka masala are delicious. The tandoori chicken and spinach pakora are also tasty. They bring fresh naan to your table and as new buffet items come available, they walk around offering them to each table before putting them on the buffet line. Very clean buffet, quiet atmosphere and plenty of parking out front.

The tandoori tasted 5 days old, we had one bite and immediately spit it out. The buffet selection was half of what it is at other locations, there was no naan, no tandoori outside. When she did bring it, it was nasty. Left hungry.

I don’t like giving a bad review but this business really deserves it. You arrived at the restaurant around 7:45 p.m. the buffet line was pretty empty. Keep in mind they’re charging $17. The only edible item was the jeera rice. When we asked a server naan, he retorted with the smirk ‘I put one already’.
The restrooms are filthy
There’s crud on the seats. If I can give them zero stars I would have.

Yummy. We ordered from the buffet today. They had green rice for St. Patricks, 😉 It’s very good. They even came around the tables with fresh hot food from the kitchen. Fantastic.

went to the lunch buffet right at noon. it was bizzare. the food tasted nothing like expected and was bland. not at all what one expects from indian cuisine. the only thing that was spicy or flavorful was the chutney, and that was only barely spicy. the chicken curry was watery, the tikka masala tasted more like pasta sauce, and the lemon rice tasted like vinegar. I enjoyed the naan, payasam, and creamed spinach. everything elss was disappointing. he service was good, but the food was mediocre.
