After watching the latest Tournament of Champions: All-Star Christmas season, one of the chefs highlighted, Dale Talde, happened to be the owner this restaurant. We decided to check it out and see what their brunch offerings were, and they do have select bottomless drinks for an added price as well. For an appetizer, we started with the sausage egg and cheese scallion pancake, which had wonderful flavor throughout every bite, great texture on the pancake itself and the cheese was perfectly melted. The only complaint is that I wish there was more! Our main dishes consisted of smoked salmon fried rice and the BBQ stir fry noodles. Both dishes were beautifully presented, and the portions on both were more than sufficient. The noodles on the stir fry were my personal favorite, cooked perfectly and with great flavor from the sauce and char sui used in the dish, and the bok choy made for very refreshing bites. The rice also gave great flavor, with the salmon certainly shining throughout every bite. If you’re in the area and looking for a place to get a nice, elevated brunch (or dinner which I’m sure is great too) experience, Goosefeather is certainly a place to try

My experience at Goosefeather was a fascinating study in contrasts, though the kitchen’s brilliance ultimately won me over. Located in a beautiful setting, the restaurant offers a “Top Chef” dining experience that feels modern and upscale. However, the initial impression was a bit rocky; the hosting staff at the reservation stand lacked the polish you’d expect from a fine-dining establishment. There was some awkwardness regarding our arrival and a strange insistence on closing out bar tabs before moving to a table, rather than simply transferring them.

Once seated, however, the food was nothing short of extraordinary. The black pepper beef was incredibly tender, and the wings truly do fall off the bone. I was particularly blown away by the lobster and crab stir-fried noodles—the addition of pickled delicata squash made it one of the most unique dishes I’ve ever tasted. Other standouts included the crab fried rice and the shrimp bao buns. For something truly inventive, the tuna with pickled gooseberries offered an “insane” flavor profile. While some vegetable sides felt a little sparse and the rice occasionally leaned toward the drier side, the authentic ingredients and bold flavors are undeniable. It’s a great spot for an adult dinner, though I’d recommend it more for a sophisticated date night than a family outing with kids.

I stayed in a Kings Mansion suite so I ate at Goosefeather for 5 days in a row. I’m going to say that I do not think this restaurant really reflects Asian cuisine but it does delightfully include Cantonese and even Filipino elements. First off, I’m going to tell you my absolutely favorite dishes are the brussel sprouts(ordered twice), the king pao chicken wings(ordered twice) and the crown of duck(would order again). The duck is honestly the one thing that tasted like Peking duck, and the Hong Kong toast was a nice change from the usual pancakes that come with Peking duck. It was perfectly flavored and not overly fatty. The brussels had Chinese sausage and a sweet sauce. The chicken wings were very flavorful. I think what this restaurant does well is add a balance of different flavors to each dish. Sweet, salty, smokey, umami, etc. The snow pea salad wasn’t my favorite but it was crisp and refreshing to eat. The shrimp and crab noodles were even better the next morning when I ate them cold out the mini fridge. The sausage egg and cheese(Filipino sausage)was good but I feel like the portion was too small, so I had the scallion biscuits with it. I recommend the biscuits. I did not care much for the fingerling potatoes when I had them with dinner (with the wings) but I think if I ate it with the sausage egg and cheese it would’ve gone well together, since the potatoes are crispy and kind of mapley sweet. The dragon apple rangoon reminded me of how good McDonald’s apple pies tasted before McDonald’s changed the recipe. Delicious and went well with the ice cream. The calamansi snow was very citrusy and refreshing but very cold to eat in January. It would be my summer recommendation. I drank a lot of green tea here. I really liked the Docs Cider. Honestly, I keep thinking about the duck. I am going to figure out how to make that Hong Kong toast if it is the last thing I do. Big respect to Isabella D for serving me most of the time I was there. Everyone there was so kind and she was most chill. It’s a very nice place to sit around in and space out while eating delicious food.

Stopped here before a wedding.

Definitely an interesting place, expect American takes on familiar chinese dishes and flavors

The setting is an old colonial home which was definitely a fun vibe

If you are in the area worth checking out.

They also had a decent list of interesting and unique cocktails

The dry aged beef potstickers were insane – must try.

The other item that blew my mind was the side salad that came with the pork belly, the pork was very tasty but the side salad was top notch flavor combo

One of the best Asian restaurants in Westchester!

Apps and entrees were all hits with the table. The crispy rice and black pepper beef was probably our favorite. Cocktails were also great and the server was very knowledgeable on pairings.

The desserts had more of a mixed reaction but our group all had dessert different preferences.

Can’t wait to go back and try the other menu items.

Goosefeather was excellent. The black pepper beef was tender and packed with flavor, extremely authentic ingredients. The spicy salmon tartare was fresh with just the right kick. Pickled gooseberries with the Tuna, insane flavor combination! Great vibe, great spot, I went here twice in a week!

pictures and words just cannot do this place justice. The lobster and crab stir fried noodles with pickled delicata squash was the absolute best dish I’ve ever had. The crab fried rice, shrimp bao buns, and mashed crispy fingerling potatoes with turmeric caramel were absolutely incredible. I cannot recommend this place enough. Beautiful atmosphere and excellent service as well.

I was excited to try this location as it was a Top Chef dining experience. We arrived a little early to our reservation and was asked several times the name. Once they finally found it, they said we had to wait as there were no tables available at this time but we could grab a drink at the bar. The host stand, they’re rude, bottom line. Definitely should not be at the reservation stand. We noticed a couple wrapping up their drink and their reservation was ready. As they were being moved to their table, the host asked them to close out their tab. Customers seemed perplexed and the bartender told the hostess he got it, I would assume it would be transferred to their tab. The hostess still stood there in awkwardness asking the bartender if he was sure. I’m not sure why such incompetence is hired for this fine dining establishment.

We had the wings which were great, honestly agree they fall off the bone. We had the beef entree and I must say it was good despite the fact they broccoli wad lacking heavily along with other veggies and a gravy. The rice was enough for 2 servings but I was disappointed by the dryness and the lack of veggies of the dish.

Tried the blueberry dessert and must say the price point is a little obnoxious. The bartender presented it a a cheesecake crumble to which it was not. It was a scarce slither of cheesecake cream to the bottom of the dish which did not help balance out the tartness of the blueberry sorbet. The mochi waffle was a bit heavy.

The cocktails were okay. Very small for $20 a drink and really did not taste the alcohol or more so felt it.

As a fine dining establishment, this was a disappointment and a disaster.

We decided to stay at the bar and have dinner because we really didn’t feel like having any more terrible service. The bartender was nice and accommodating.

Don’t listen to anyone giving this place less than 5 stars. The service was amazing, shoutout to Allen (sp). The atmosphere is fantastic and goose theme was fun and playful and extended to the bathrooms, one of Goose Gossage and the other Goose from Top Gun. The food is out of this world. Brussels sprouts were amazing, the crab rangoon was lighter than air, the fingerling potatoes are probably the best potato dish I have had in years. The peppered beef was always insanely good, but the deserts. You have to, I repeat, HAVE TO try the calamansi snow. Every bite was something new and flavor of that fruit is a perfect balance of lemon/lime with a kiss of grapefruit after taste. Honestly the best dining experience I have had since dining at Groucho in London. Can’t sing the praises of this place enough, all the staff was incredible. Parking is different as it’s on an old estate, but I would walk 5 miles to eat here again.

Came for Easter brunch (super delayed review). Everything was delicious. The french toast was the most “average” item we ordered, and it was SO GOOD. I don’t usually go for sweet things for breakfast/brunch, but was the best thing we had and would go back for it time and time again. The snap pea salad was really light and refreshing. We enjoyed everything we tried. On my list to try for dinner sometime soon.
