Goose River Brewing personifies the Blue-Collar fun-loving craft beer drinkers that are respectful of the Hillsboro Community and local region. Our Brew Pub values collaboration, inclusiveness, and supporting the local community. Great craft beers are brewed with great ingredients. We have numerous Malt Barley growers in the region. Goose River Brewing’s priority is to use locally produced ingredients, as much as possible, for our beers. Our production process is a “field to beer” concept. We are collaborating with Rahr Malting Company, through their operations at Taft Elevator, for malt barley. Initially, we will be using dry hops and exploring how we can build relationships with small local hops producers.

I’m no longer aloud to order from this place because I speak my mind about the service and the food. Worst place in history and I promise you. You go here you will be disappointed in such a way you will be asking urself why you didn’t listen to this review. Worst restaurant ever and that Amber chick needs to be fired asap!

I just found out two days ago this place serves food, so I had to order. I ordered a double bacon cheese burger and fries. I got all the toppings, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickels but I can tell you, this burger is probably the best tasting I have ever had. I was alerted for the price of it, 19.86 for a double bacon cheese burger. Most I ever paid but it is sure worth it! The staff was super friendly and the cook was amazing. Made my sandwich exactly the way I wanted. Bravo staff and business! 8 out of 10 for me and I’d definitely let ppl know about this business!

Let me tell you. It was even better this time. The burger was amazing. So much flavor. I didn’t want to stop eating but I was full so I needed to. Natalie was my server and she was so amazing. she was helpful and knowledgeable. Can not wait to order again for my 3rd review. I’m sure it will be amazing, but we will see…
9/7/2023- My third time ordering from this place. The service is so amazing Natalie took care of every need. The food again was so good. Natalie told me I need to stop ordering the samething, because they have other food that’s just as good lol, so next week I will! Thank you for your great service and the exceptional food. Absolutely amazing service and food!
I give my third visit a five star. If it wasn’t for Natalie’s service and the cook, tonight was Amber, I don’t know what I would have rated this place, but I can tell you the service is phenomenal, the price is worth it! And I’ll definitely order again next week and keep you all in the loop again on my next order.

Worst experience I have ever had to encounter. Worst service and worst food. I ordered my hamburger well done and when I peeled the patty apart it was red. When I lifted the burger off the bottom bun all I saw was red! I alerted the server and told her my concerns. She went and told the kitchen which then came out and peeled my burger apart in front of me telling me how is this not well DONE! I tried to explain to her if it was well done like I had asked there would not be blood soaking into the bottom bun and she stated, well when I saw it was you I made sure it was right. I asked her…. how did you see it was me when the food was already done and waiting by the time I got here.. she said thats not what I ment…… after all the good reviews I have wrote in the past couple of days and the experience I had to go through tonight… NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN. I SUGGEST YOU DO THE SAME. All you’re going to get is disappointment, bad customer service and a bad attitude from the employee’s and pissed off because you didn’t get what you ordered. No, this wasn’t the first time my order wasn’t right. This is the second time in a row with bad food and bad service. never again. good luck Goose River. Will never order from you again!

Place has a ton of potential. Nice space, food was good, but worst service I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. Obviously not a clue in the dining room. Many frustrated tables… We waited over a half hour before we were even acknowledged. Once ordered, our food came out quickly, wrong twice and before our drinks and appetizer, but quickly…
– apparently there are 2 food menus, standard and steak. We didn’t get the steak menu. Would have been nice to have the option
– there are a TON of beers on tap. Need a beer menu on the table. The cocktails we ordered off the cocktail menu tasted great, but no one knew how to make them and they seemed very light on the booze…
Keep improving, get some structured service and we’ll be back for the food!

We loved eating here. When they opened they had some problems sure. Who doesn’t. The staff are friendly. I found going up to the bar and asking for stuff was the best way because it made the servers lives easier (I used to be a server so I totally understand this). It’s amazing food and a good fun atmosphere as long as people aren’t being rude and yelling at each other. We’ve had many parties there and tried pretty much everything on their menu. The beer selection is amazing and one of the few places that has Guinness (which is mine and my husbands go to beer). This was a weekly place for us for a year before we moved. We still make the drive once a month to see everyone and enjoy the food.

Just what you expect for a small town bar and grill. Somewhat of a northern cabin feel. New and clean. Very nice and comfortable atmosphere. Very spacious too. The service was outstanding! The group I was with we stopped for lunch on a Wednesday. It was fairly busy over the lunch hour. One server and one person in the kitchen. They were both working extremely hard. Service may have been a bit slow, but very friendly and helpful. The food was spectacular! I had the grilled honey mustard chicken sandwich with sweet potatoe fries and it was amazing! So juicy, large chicken breast, thick and meaty, and flavorful! Loved the fries too!! It was down home comfort food cookin’! I look forward to stopping in again!! I highly recommend!!!

The two energenic guys running beer and food are fast and attentive. Great beer selection too. Pass on the food, we ate here twice and both time our party was disappointed. There is a lack of love in the kitchen for preparing food or creating decent menu items. Half the menu appears to be a poor attempt of copying the local food truck. It’s nice the town has a restaurant but really needs competition to improve their food. We could have the best of both worlds(beer and food) if Cruzin Cafe food truck parked out front. I’ll come back if I see good posts about their beer if they ever start brewing.

I have gone there 3 times. Unfortunately, I’ve been disappointed. The room has a large amount of space but is sterile, lacking character. Food was ordinary. The choices for beer were good however, I hope their home brewed beer becomes widely available soon.

Walked in at 530. After waiting until 7 complained to waitress. Worst hamburger I’ve ever had arrived at 715. Chips and salsa appetizer arrived after my food. 2 groups came in after us and ordered and got their food before us. Beer was good but the kitchen has no clue.
