food was affordable and reasonably priced as well as delicious. we tried a cheese burger, chicken sandwich, and jalapeño poppers. they were all delicious. my only complaint is that there wasn’t much sauce to make the food less dry.

Outstanding fried chicken. Crispy outside and juicy and tender inside. Great service. We ordered the family bucket and it was on time and delicious. The meal pleased three generations of our family, we will definitely be back!

So, still 5 stars, because I have no business criticizing a chicken shop for their hamburger when I’m a vegetarian, but when I asked for a burger, no patty, they took payment, and I double checked when they put it in the grill, “you got that down as no patty, right?” The gentleman near the phone told me theyll do their best. There was a patty, it was unremarkable, but in the bright side, I didn’t have to poop for about 18 hours, so now I remember what eating meat was like.
It’s been mostly the same friendly faces working there as long as I’ve been going, and I keep going even though I personally don’t like fried chicken. If you also don’t like fried a chicken, they make okay burgers, good fries, ice cream, and a tavern-cut thin crust that seems un-remarkable at first glance, but is lovingly crafted to competently exceed your expectations. They’re also right on my way home from work, so 5 stars 🙂

I stopped in and said I had never been here so I needed a minute to order. The staff taking orders asked if I was ordering for 1 or a group and suggested the 4 chicken tenders plate or the ribs. I went with the tenders, but they didn’t give me tenders. I got 4 mixed pieces of chicken. I was the only one in there ordering with at least 3 staff who easily could hear my order. I don’t know if they thought it was a nice gesture to give me other chicken, they mixed up my order or just didn’t care. Just disappointed because I don’t like the style bone in chicken they gave me so it was a waste of my money and time. Just confused and disappointed. I think the chicken is worth getting for the area but I’d unfortunately feel the need to look at the order before walking out.

Hands down one of the best local chicken restaurants in Milwaukee! I ordered pick up and the owner of the shop was very welcoming! I have to say that the chicken and the fries were by far better than anything I have ever had in a very long time! I if you order from here you will not be disappointed! Give Gold rush chicken a try!

I ordered chicken, fries, and pizza for my coworkers and myself. Talk about awesome. The chicken was hot and crunchy on the outside, moist and cooked perfectly on the inside! And you pizza??? DELICIOUS!

As a kid, my Dad would get Gold Rush. Saturday nights were Gold Rush Chicken, Cops, and America’s Most Wanted. 20-25 years later, the TV shows are different but the food is still incredible. There’s a reason this place has been around since 1957!
