We arrived on a rainy Wednesday to a madhouse of a restaurant but don’t let that info deter you from eating here! It was delicious. We were lucky enough to score 3 seats at the bar. The bartender was a bit overwhelmed because the place was mobbed but she still was super pleasant and very helpful. Overall the food was delicious. On a big calamari kick and theirs did not disappoint. Will be back!

I had the occasion for a bit of a celebration and had eaten here before. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly and it’s a family place with a bar separate from the dining area. They have a cool mural, and it’s casual atmosphere was most welcoming.

Absolutely delicious! Service was fantastic. Food was really fresh. Oysters were clean, as were the clams! No sand at all. Cocktail sauce is unique and tasty! Garlic cream shrimp and crabcake dinner was yummy. Crab cakes are huge with tons of crab! Blackberry cheesecake was to die for! Highly recommend!!!!

The service was great, prompt, friendly and accommodating of our large party. The vibe of the restaurant is fun and playful and all of us throughly enjoyed our dishes. I had the seafood Kingston and it was fantastic. The tuna Oscar was highly praised and the crab legs were delish. Great vibes, great food.

While vacationing in Nags Heads we did our family dinner at Goombays. It was so incredibly delicious! We started off with the Alligator bites and Crab Dip, so good!!!!! 3 of us had the dinner special of Grouper and shrimp over Red roasted pepper risotto, it was out of this world!!! Another had the Jazzy Chicken the portion is huge! And it was a big hit!!!! Kids had a variety of popcorn shrimp, fresh fried fish nuggets and grilled cheese and they loved the kids fancy drinks. I would definitely recommend Goombays!!!

Food was good overall but don’t get the grits, it was recommended but the 2 that got it at our table loved the shrimp but not the grits. The rest of us, including the kids, liked our meals. Kids enjoyed the fun names they gave the drinks on the menu, the place has a cute fun vacation decorated vibe. Parking lot is small n so is the restaurant so try to go when it’s not busy. Bar looks like a local hole in the wall, very laid back. I’d go back if I lived closer but I enjoy places that aren’t too fussy esp on vacation.

Food was good but expensive. Menu didn’t list prices which was a little suspicious for family seafood. Had to ask to see the price list. Specialty Drinks were great. Service was where they really shined. Our waitress was phenomenal. Would recommend.

This is a small restaurant and bar. Expect a wait time to eat here. Cool ocean themed vibe. Daily specials, appetizers including the hottest crab balls on the beach, huge salads, sandwiches, entree’s, and a kids menu. They have a pretty creative drink menu for adults and cute mocktails for kids. The prices of all of the items are on a separate menu. The servers are friendly and work together to keep your drinks refilled. We ordered some of their different, 1/2 lb., Angus burgers. They were good. The kitchen is small so don’t expect your food to come out too fast. We waited about forty five minutes for our food but it was worth the wait. Overall I recommend this restaurant.
