Went there for our 2 year dating anniversary. From the moment we walked in the door it was about us. We were made to feel special and that felt good.
The food was out of this world delicious. Each course came at the right pace as to not overwhelm us. Our main course couldn’t have been more perfect.
Although we can’t afford to go more often, we will definitely be back when we can.

We always bring our out of town guests here. Best steaks ever, hands down. Their rolls are also a must.Technique is obvious in every bite. You can feel the leadership in the kitchen. Everything is always seamless. My husband always orders a flight of salt for everyone (to see which one they prefer) We recommend making a reservation. We always get a lovely card signed by staff with a metal horseshoe. It’s a little out of our way (coming from San Francisco or Hidden Valley Lake) but worth the beautiful drive.

Crab cakes were very good. Entrees were cold/ room temp. My husband’s ribeye was mediocre. My beef filet was full of sinew and the cut was terrible. It was beyond rare. The sides came in skillets Brussel sprouts, and loaded potato puree. I would expect them to be hot but they weren’t even warm. We ordered their apple skillet which was also cold. The service was good, decore was beautiful, and the drinks were good. Definitely not the Wow factor you would expect for a $430 dollar dinner before tip.

Dinner at Goodnights – A Night to Remember
Our family dinner at Goodnights was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with an atmosphere full of charm and soul, thanks to the smooth, live jazz music that set the perfect tone for the evening.
The highlight of the meal? The steak – perfectly cooked, juicy, and bursting with flavor. It was easily one of the best we’ve had on our trip. And then came the mashed potatoes – creamy, buttery, and so delicious they deserve their own spotlight. Honestly, they might just be the best mashed potatoes we’ve ever tasted!
What truly elevated the experience, though, were the incredible servers. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, they made us feel right at home. Out of all the places we’ve visited, these were hands down the best we’ve encountered.
My wife, our teenagers, and I all left Goodnights feeling happy, full, and grateful for such a memorable evening. If you’re ever in town, this place is a must.

Our server was very attentive – the atmosphere was everything you would expect from a nice steakhouse. And though my husband really enjoyed his steak (it appeared nicely prepared and presented) the rest of the food was not great. The Parker house rolls – meh at best. The roasted squash – undercooked. My tuna main dish was weird – nothing like the menu description – and oily and tasteless. Even the baked potato – which is a staple item for a good steakhouse – not great. Everything kind of just felt oily. Dinner for two (including tip) with one beer and one cocktail was just under $400. Even at half the price or one quarter the price – I would not go back. So many other better options in Healdsburg.

Everyone was so nice. Hostess, manager, chef, bartender, waitress, and all the other waitstaff. Food was delicious and beautiful at the same time. Cocktails were delicious. I wish I could give 10 stars for how well we were treated. I hope to go back again.

Very nice place, great service and mostly quiet atmosphere. Pricing is $$$$$, so it should be like that. I don’t give Food and Service the 5 stars for the following reasons. The mushrooms are highly battered so that you will have trouble to find the mushrooms in the batter. The dish should be called Batter with a mushroom flavor. A mandatory tip of 20% was added to the bill, which I first did not notice (it is a little dark in there), but waiters should make the customers aware of it (perhaps by circling it), even that it is stated on the Menu in fine print. The 20% is added to a party of 6+ people (most restaurants start with 8+). But all in all a good dining experience.

Valentines Day 2026, we ordered a Tomahawk Steak-medium/well and it was not good. The steak was cold and rare. The food did not meet the cost. The wine, atmosphere and music was wonderful.

My thoughts. An exceptional dining experience awaits, and must-visit for true steak connoisseurs. Tender, juicy perfection, impeccably presented with a curated flavor palette. Each dish is prepared to perfection, tailored to your liking. The head chef personally ensures guest satisfaction, by greeting each table and checking on both the experience and food quality, making it an absolute delight. Real good!

Unbelievable from start to finish! Sitting at the chef’s bar watching Chef David Lawrence in action made the night unforgettable. The bone-in ribeye was the best we’ve ever had and the sauces with the salt tray were epic and the ahi tuna tartare flawless, The service was pure 5-star — the manager made us feel like celebrities even though we’re just us — and the live jazz created the perfect vibe. We dine at Michelin-rated spots around the world, and this is our new favorite. This place truly deserves a Michelin star!
