Goodie’s is a local favorite, and I had their sandwiches once in February of 2025 and our party enjoyed them. I went back with my husband a day ago, but was saddened at this visit. The service was great and quick, despite being busy. My husband got a standard turkey sandwich and enjoyed it well enough. I had the chicken salad. I really wanted to like it. I love chicken salad and apples. However…the wheat bread tasted dry (not toasted, but like it has been sitting out in the air for several hours)…and the chicken salad was massively salty. Even decently thick apple slices couldn’t save it. I was really disappointed. Because we took the sandwiches and walked a mile or so away and ate at the beach, it wasn’t practical to return it. Hopefully, they just had a bad chicken salad day.

20 bucks for a sandwich and a drink, pretty steep if you ask me. The sandwiches did seem to have an appropriate amount of protein. Also disappointing that all of the hot sandwiches are microwaved, nothing is grilled or baked fresh. I didn’t even see a grilltop or oven in there besides the bread toaster.

Total transparency: we had 2 orders. One half a sandwhich and half potato salad and a bag of chips and Arizona tea.
The second was a turkey classic #14 and a bag of chips and an Arizona tea; $50.
The bread was super soft and delicious. They do NOT skimp on the meats or condiments. Very very good portions.
The service was pleasant and we ate inside because it was very inviting!
We will definitely be back!

I love love the hot sandwiches. The toasted bread is light and soft. It’s not a super messy sandwich. I had the pulled pork sandwich special and a #18 Italian salami with Swiss cheese. Nice workers, not a long wait.

My group had sandwiches, pastries, cookies, and ice cream, and everything was fresh and delicious. They also had an assortment of loose leaf tea, which you don’t see every day. And the staff were so nice!

Super cute little deli. Stopped and got a couple sandwiches & some sweets. My boyfriend got Cookies & Cream Ice Cream, which he said was really good. I got a Pecan Bar, which was sooo good. Our sandwiches were really good as well and hit the spot. My boyfriend is really picky but he enjoyed his food.
Definitely marking this place to come back.

Sandwiches were good but I was surprised that two sandwiches, two personal bag of chips, and two drinks cost more than 50 dollars.

Solid sandwich to go, or dine in on the plastic furniture. It’s always pretty busy, but no long lines. Great to take to the beach.

Amazing local sandwich shop! The sandwich is delicious and a great size, and the potato salad is also extremely good. Worth a stop if you are in the Pacific Grove area and you want a great lunch! The cookies and pastries are also top notch! Yummy!

Due to land improvements, GOODIES has moved down the street one block from its original location. Plenty of free parking in front and nearby. The food and service is as good as always. Still my favorite spot for a good sandwich in PG.
