A month ago, my fiancé and I had an amazing time. Ariel was our waitress and she was amazing. The food. The vibes. We sat in the heated tent, just fabulous.
We came back last night and requested to sit in the tent only to find half the staff in there smoking marijuana. Hear me, I don’t judge others for smoking at all, but I was appalled to find the staff doing so and also that Good Times would allow it on the first level, knowing the cigar lounge is upstairs. You could smell it everywhere. The host explained “oh they are on break so our boss smokes with us to chill here”. We asked to be seated elsewhere and our lovely waitress Ariel came to help us. We had 2 drinks only because Ariel was just that kind.
I think this was not a good look and won’t be returning. Maybe posting that this place is 4/20 friendly next time would be helpful. I hope this helps decide if this is the spot for them.

I made reservations today on my birthday. When I arrived I didn’t have any issues.This is my second time visiting this venue and it was amazing once again. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the staff. They were professional and friendly. I was able to bring my birthday cake as well which was a plus. This spot is top tier. From the food, drinks, staff, and atmosphere. Very accommodating. Our bartender/hostess/server Jordan was everything. My guest and I had a grand time.
The music was on point. I planned on hanging at a few other spots but we never left because
it was such a vibe. I was undecided on where to celebrate my birthday today. I’m so glad I chose Good Times. The name speaks for itself. We’ll be back soon .

Had brunch here on Sunday and really enjoyed my experience! Playlist was giving a combination of old and new school R&B. The Yes to the Catfish and Grits! The Catfish was seasoned and fried to perfection! Grits with the Parmesan cheese were tasty. I really enjoyed the added peppers paired with this dish. Chicken and waffles are worth trying as well. Chicken seasoned and fried to perfection! Staff members are very nice and professional.

Loved the experience. Went with my grandmother and had a good time. We were seated right away on the heated patio which was inviting. Our server Ashley was nice and gave good recommendations. Drinks and food were good!! They do have gratuity included 15% for 1-4 people and 20% 5+ people. My grandma had the pork chops special and I had the fried turkey chops meal!

Great place! Visited with my sisters for a fun night out and this place was the perfect energy. Comfortable, casual, welcoming, clean, quick service. Our server Deontae was fantastic and served us incredibly well! 5 stars just for Deontae alone and then our food was great. The short ribs were perfectly tender with great flavor, the Turkey pork chop was just as great. The greens and Curtis potatoes id highly recommend.

Haven’t had a bad time or food at this place. Definitely worth adding to your staple of restaurants. Food is on point. Chicken wings are seasoned and delicious . Sides are good as well. Drinks are strong. Atmosphere always live but controlled. Don’t sell yourself short sticking with downtown establishments. Check out “The Ave” and all that it has to offer. Especially this place where you are guaranteed to have a “Good Time”.

This is my first time in the Detroit area and at this restaurant, I went during lunch time and the place was not packed. I sat on the upstairs balcony and had the bartender as my server. Everyone at our table loved all of the food! Here is what everyone ordered

Waitress was nice but it was burning hot in there, couldn’t open patio curtains but just a little crack. No fans. Was told 20% gratuity but it was really 25%. My catfish was gummy. My son full size pasta was less than one would receive for a lunch portion. My mom received raw wings, not once but twice, just asked for them to be taken off the bill after the second time. Greens weren’t cooked all the way and not chopped or cleaned

Celebrated my birthday with my siblings at good times. It was very nice even though it’s small they accommodated us and went out there a way to please us.. The food was good and seasoned very well. They had a special meat menu for sweeties day. I really enjoyed myself and definitely will go back.
