The best curry in Sapa!

Hands down the best chicken curry in coconut I’ve had in Sapa — absolutely delicious, full of flavor and perfectly balanced.
Great prices, cozy atmosphere and very kind staff.

I came back more than once because it’s just that good.
If you’re in Sapa, this place is a must. Highly recommended!

Ate here FOUR TIMES in four days. At first it was the outdoor seating that caught my eye—blocked from the wind but still had a view—but it was the food that brought me back. The chicken spring rolls, chicken fried rice, English breakfast, scrambled eggs with vegetable, Vietnamese drip coffee and the egg coffee. All great! And the owner—such a welcoming personality!

I’m moving 5 km south today but may still end up coming back.

The staff at Good Morning Vietnam are extremely friendly and attentive. The food is very delicious and the prices are very affordable.
I highly recommend the Pumpkin Soup the best I’ve found so far and they allowed me to make a special order of 2 soup but in a big bowl just for fun haha, The Chicken Curry in Coconut is also one of the best I’ve tried, and it’s their own special recipe. The fried spring rolls (both chicken and pork) are excellent, and the fried rice is good for two people (we were three and it was still enough). We tried the chicken, pork, and vegetable fried rice and all were great.
I also ordered the Bolognese pizza, it’s very good, but expect a bit of waiting time since it’s made from scratch.
Overall, the food is great and I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re visiting Sapa, Vietnam!

Came here after not getting any service at restaurant next door as they seemed to be preoccupied with a tour group that came in after us, and boy are we glad we did! Welcoming owner, good portions of hearty home style food. Good use of herbs in the sizzling hot plate sturgeon. Super cosy on a chilly Sapa winter night.

November 2025: I am a Level 7 contributor (>400 reviews) on Google and regularly review eateries and experiences both in Asia and Melbourne to give an unbiased opinion. I came here for lunch after a spa session at Halosa Spa.

From the reviews that I have read, I decided to go with the chicken curry served in a coconut and a plate of fried chayote with garlic. I was impressed with both dishes. The curry was mild and the chayote leaves were young and tender. The owner was very engaging and I started to ask him if the coconut chicken curry was unique to Sa Pa. He said that they came up with the idea first, which I believe.

My lunch came up to 255k VND, and it was very filling. I highly recommend this restaurant for visitors to Sa Pa.

This was one of the highest-rated restaurants in Sapa, and I didn’t want to miss it on our trip. I’m so glad we made it here for lunch as a family after a tiring walk back from Cat Cat Village. We were warmly welcomed by the owner himself, who instantly made us feel at home.

Our children were exhausted and went straight for drinks and ice cream, which they could easily choose from the menu options also available in English. For mains, we ordered vegetable fried rice and pork fried rice, while the kids enjoyed burgers. Both fried rice variations were full of flavour, with delightful textures and aromatic spices. The children also loved the burger & fries. The staff spoke excellent English and served our food quickly.

We initially missed the famous coconut chicken curry we’d read about in other reviews, but decided to try it anyway — and we were so glad we did! Its aroma and flavour brought back memories of traditional cooking from our homeland and in the end we also scooped out the tender coconut flesh, which was just as tasty.

The restaurant’s wooden-panel décor, open layout, and plentiful fans made the ambience very comfortable. We left with full hearts and full stomachs — truly a memorable dining experience.

The owner is very friendly. He talks around the tables giving travel tips and making sure the guests are taken care of. The food is delicious and somewhat quickly served albeit the small kitchen. Looks like a family own restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed having dinner there.
