On our recent trip to El Paso we decided to stop here, so I saw this place has been around for a good while and the star of the menu is the menudo. 9am on Sunday and the place was busy, we had a 10 min wait so not too bad.
The vibe was layback a type of everyone knows everybody else.
The menu is a simple homemade style and yes the menudo was delicious. I had to ask for cilantro because where I come from that’s how we eat it. I loved the bread it was crispy and perfectly buttered. The service was friendly and polite it was almost like my Tia was serving. Definitely looking forward to the next time.

They charge for chips n salsa and the salsa is nasty. Food was very nasty The menudo was cold and in a thick red sauce sauce, the brisket was stale dry & old, the caldo de res was bland no flavor no seasonings nothing the place looks like its packed but its only because it is so little inside….

If english is your primary language go ahead and stay away. The waitress pretended to not know English when i was ordering my food and the second my order was messed up she figured out how to speak it pretty well.

This place has a variety of different options to chose from. I had the cheeseburger which is a good size. The meat isn’t too thick, more on the thinner side. The side of fries is a basket and are allowed to do half fries and half onion rings. There are other sides available as well. Other plates that have been recommended (shown in the pictures) shredded beef tacos. The green salsa they give in little cups is pretty good & not spicy.

Excellent service. Extremely clean restaurant. Delicious food. You can tell the staff actually likes what they do. Lots of laughs and lots of hard work was going the whole time. I definitely recommend 10/10!

So busy chowing down with college friends that I forgot to take a pic of my LARGE Menudo. Fresh and catapulted me into my blessed youth in El Paso. Booths everywhere so you can eat, converse passionately and remember loved ones and the lessons they taught. The coffee is what I also love, and you never havvto ask for refills. Good Luck has the best service and that explains why when you leave, others take your booth and parking spot. You don’t have to be a Paisano to relish the food. Come with an appetite. You will be glad you did. I promise. The ladies who serve you, always smiling and have the best sense of humor. ONLY in the West Texas town of El Paso.

Definitely recommend the Caldo De Rez, the small is good for starter, but the large bowl is amazing!
The Hamburger steak is also super flavorful and filling. Go with a appetite for sure!

If I could rate this place a zero I would, ordered 2 large menudos with little meat got 2 small menudos?? Ordered 2 more so I could have enough menudo for everyone, got home and opened it up and it was 95% meat??? 40 bucks down the drain what a waste of time and money I threw everything away in the trash, you’re better off going to hamburger house on Carolina or good coffee on Montana…

I stopped by on a whim and enjoyed it very much. It was very busy, but I got a seat quickly, and the meal was served quickly once I ordered. All i had was Huevos a la Mexicana, which came with a tortilla beans and potatoes. Everything was good, but everything needed a bit of salt. The tortilla seemed to be “homemade”. There is a restaurant on the corner with a similar name but it is a different restaurant.

Although this a very good taste wise restaurant and very popular the service could be better… they need a bigger location to accommodate all there clientele they would highly recommend benefit from this … the waiter and waitresses could be a lil more friendly it must be from the stress of attending all the folks that come thru!!
