They had a fully stocked bar and beer in draws. Our grandson enjoyed the games and it was most fun for him because they had a really talented magician slash comedian walking through to visit each table. He made some balloon animals and fire come out from his wallet.
The service was great. The tacos had three choices of shells and beef or chicken. We had a mix. They were full and filling. You can’t beat 2$ each.
Great atmosphere for all the family. Televisions for sports, juke box, kids games, and Keno.
Also, had long tables for larger groups and a separate party room.
Bartenders are stellar drink makers.
We will go again for sure. Clean restrooms and an ATM.
We have gone many times but unfortunately, I can’t excuse the food we received. We ordered a soup that was obviously burnt as hell but I am not one to complain so I dismissed it, definitely my fault for not saying anything. We got our food to go and the burger didn’t have bacon and a fried egg (which we paid extra for) the Mac and cheese bites were burnt and disgusting. I am just so sad and disappointed because we always come here and tip well, I don’t know what will Bring us back, nothing wrong with our waitress just the food..second photo shows the sad fried and the egg on the burger that we cooked at home because we didn’t get it at the restaurant
I’ve tried giving it multiple chances, thinking my past visits were just flukes, but the service remains inconsistent. We stopped in yesterday to meet friends, watch football, and catch the NASCAR race. I completely understand that Sunday football is the priority for the TVs, but it wasn’t even that busy. They had horse racing on that no one was watching, yet they wouldn’t put the NASCAR race on for a group of people who specifically came there to watch it. When they finally did turn it on, it was in a corner TV across the room and completely unwatchable from our table.
This was especially frustrating because The Good Life is a sports bar and grill. You go there to watch sports, and they have plenty of TVs to accommodate different games and events. Our group ordered entrées and drinks, spending a good amount to enjoy the afternoon, but we ended up watching the race on our phones propped up on the table.
My food order came out incorrect, and my friend was brought another round of drinks they didn’t order and still got charged even after mentioning it to the server.
The food itself is good, but the service at this location is consistently disappointing. It’s frustrating because we truly enjoy The Good Life at their other locations. I just wish the Millard one could match that same level of experience.
I showed up for lunch today with my child and waited 15 minutes before leaving. In that time no one bothered to ask me what I wanted to drink or even give me a menu.
I watched another group of people who showed up after me and sat right next to my table get served. I tried to flag down the young man serving people and got ignored.
I’m not sure why I was invited but it was not that busy.
