I had an excellent experience at Gonzales, and a huge part of that was because of our waitress, Mallory. From the moment we were seated, she made us feel welcome and taken care of. She greeted us with a warm, friendly attitude and checked in right away without making us feel rushed. It was clear that she genuinely enjoys her job and cares about her customers, which made the whole meal that much better.
Mallory was incredibly attentive throughout our visit. Our drinks were always full, and she checked on us at the perfect times to make sure everything was tasting good. She was also very knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations, which we ended up loving. It’s rare to have a server who balances being professional and personable so well, but she did it effortlessly.
The food came out quickly and exactly as ordered, and Mallory made sure everything was right before walking away. Even during busier moments, she stayed calm, upbeat, and focused, never once letting the service slip. You could tell she was managing multiple tables, but she still made us feel like a priority.
Overall, this was a great dining experience, and Mallory truly stood out as an exceptional waitress. Her positive attitude, attention to detail, and friendly personality made the night memorable. If you’re dining at Gonzales, I highly recommend asking for Mallory, you’ll be in great hands. We will definitely be coming back because of her outstanding service.

Food is always good. Prices are fair and the margaritas are strong. My only negative opinion is that since not everyone works until 5pm that margaritas should have a lower price at lunch and not be more expensive than at dinner time.

Came with a group Saturday around 2 PM, half the tables’ orders were wrong. Margaritas were sour, my tacos were very soggy. There was nothing he could take off or do to make it better. It was just a very unpleasant experience.

The food is very good. When we arrived the hostess was sitting outside on her phone talking to someone about partying at Sundown. We were ignored for about five minutes before she came inside and we were seated. When we finally got seated, it took another five minutes for our waiter to come by and take our drink orders. Very much not impressed with service and almost left. The restaurant was EXTREMELY and uncomfortably loud, no fault to the staff.

Decent ribeye with a requested dry potato and shrimp. The seasoning was a little unique on the steak but overall pretty good. The shrimp were slightly overcooked but still ok. Side salad was a little weak if you are looking for a good quality serving of greens. Service was great!

I placed an order for a chicken fajita, as a takeout order, there were no wraps in the order I called. I was told by an employee that they were out of tortilla wraps because of the holidays but yet you still charge me as if I ordered a chicken fajita why would you serve someone a chicken fajita without wraps what is the purpose Now I have to fight to get my money back because they don’t wanna give me no money back poor customer service, but never eat here again from Atlanta Georgia first time never again.

This was my second meal at Gonzalez, and it’s easily my favorite Mexican restaurant in Northeast Louisiana. The food is so good and the staff is so nice. I love the Day of the Dead murals. Enchiladas? Delicious. Burritos? Delicious. Rice and beans? ✅ and ✅. Even the sweet tea is a banger.
