The food was AMAZING! I had heard good things but had to check out this place or for myself. I love the rice and beans, and the fajitas are excellent. The hot sauce is spicy but flavorful. Reasonable prices for great food!

I’ve eaten here several times recently. I suppose I was late to the game in discovering this jewel of a cafe/restaurant. The ladies that work there, you will never find servers that are more upbeat and friendly. Food… like eating a home-cooked meal every time. Atmosphere? Have gone past this place many, many times on my way into Victoria from CorpusChristi. It always had quite a few cars in their lot and thought it must be a pretty good place and needed to stop and try it sometime. Finally did and really enjoyed it. Good food and service. Menu is basic Tex-Mex plus steaks and some seafood. I had the “Gonzalez Platter” which had 2 Enchiladas, a tamale, a crispy Taco, a Chalupa, a big scoop of freshly made guacamole, and rice and beans for only $11.95. And the tortilla chips were actually hot! All was very good, as was the service.

Had the Wednesday lunch special. Was great value. 2 enchiladas beans and rice drink included. Service was wonderful. My husband had the hamburger steak it was delicious.
