1st time there. Went jusy before closing so only 1 couple and ourselves. Got seated quickly and order taken quickly. Huge menu and plenty of food items to pick. Was very pleasant experience. Plates of food are huge, plenty and worth the money, not expensive at all for the amount of food on ur plate. Not pictured my mimosa (cran orange mix)

This dinner is definitely a gem. The food is amazingly good, and the service is great.
I’m not personally a big fan of waffles but I couldn’t resist. I ordered a pecan waffle and it was delicious. I ordered bacon as a side and those bacon strips were cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the waffle combo and my daughter had the french toast. They both were very satisfied with it. I highly recommend it! Worth every single money expend.

Excellent Food and Service! The place was very busy but the waitress was on top of everything. Very fast for being packed. Ordered the All American Breakfast which included 2 Eggs 4 Sausage Links or 4 Strips of Bacon, or mix 2 of each your choice and Hash Brown Potatoes or Country Potatoes. To top all that off I got 2 large biscuits with gravy which is included instead of toast, again your choice. Price was great for that Hearty and Delicious Breakfast. Great way to start the day. Located on Broadway in Placerville Ca, and very close to the freeway entrance and exit.

The waitress was horribly rude. I ended up in the back room to be ignored. Went and talked to the other waitress who was much nicer but ended canceling my order and my waitress said good. Will never be back. Not sure why that place is open with such a rude server. If you don’t like your job just simply leave your place of work and make the experience better for anyone who walks threw the door.

There’s a sign over the cash register area with a funny saying regarding Take it or Leave it! Definately Leave It! Downtown Placerville is a little tourist spot so I wanted to find a breakfast place locals would go to. Google has Golden Waffle Cafe as a 4 star, $ (single $)! It is Not! It is (most) 2 star and $$!
They offer a common diner menu. Unfortunately, they over charge for poor quality food. Ex…the BLT had two (2) strips of bacon for $11+. Grilled chicken & cheese sandwich was @$12+ for a Where’s-the-chicken sandwich. The fries were So Bad my tweenage grandson, who’s in his food frenzy years, Didn’t Eat Them! Scrambled eggs are scrambled, then fried hard on a grill and chopped up. For the price they charge I could have gone to a nice touristy spot with better quality for the price! Picks were posted for reference.

I walked in to the establishment, tumble weeds could be seen, the sound of the old west could be heard as I entered (imagine a john Wayne bar scene) I was staring at people left and right, they stared at me… I sat down with a grim stare and asked the waitress “I’ll have the strongest drink you have”. She replied “ummm sir, I think you’re in the wrong place, this is the Golden waffle cafe, I can bring a coffee if you’d like?”…I stared menacingly and replied…Ok! That sounds delicious! Anyway, Awesome place to come and have a good waffle, eggs, and just plain good ole classic breakfast. Give them a try!

Nice diner. Milwaukee omelette is really good with mushrooms and the right amount of cheese. Good sized portions for the price. You get a side of hash browns or country fries and a choice of bread or biscuits with gravy. More food than I could finish. The staff is very friendly. Will be back to try some of their waffles.

We went here for breakfast today. The place feels like a real throwback diner. Service was fast, and our food came out very quickly and it was hot. We had an omelet with hashbrowns on the side and a plain waffle (a normal diner waffle). It was all good. The staff was all very nice!
