The first three times that I went to this restaurant the food was good. I ordered Kung pao chicken. Good texture really good sauce. It was a five stars meal. But, unfortunately, they have a new chef, the food does not have the same taste at all. The chicken was dry and the sauce was very bland. I am very disappointed, am not coming back.

This is the best dine in Chinese food restaurants I’ve been to in years. Great flavor, awesome thi tea (great size too). I tried the orange chicken which was great tasting, Chicken Chow main, shrimp lobster sauce, fried wonton, white rice and egg rolls. Only negative would be that the egg roll filling was a too dry, other than that all dishes had great flavor.

Good tasted great. Fans are on and make food cold right away, thats their only downfall. We had 6 dishes, 5 adults and 2 little ones. Good prices . Bill came out to about $120. Server was very attentive, he was kind and funny. I would totally recommend this restaurant.

Food is good. They’re very fast. They do offer lunch specials for 15 bucks. All their orders are big they don’t skimp. Restaurant is not nice its very dated but I guess it’s ok since I go for the food anyway. Don’t expect any type of great service u won’t find it here not even a smile. Very grumpy ppl work here at first I thought it was because a language barrier but it doesn’t take much to smile. They don’t even say hi its a get to the point type of Restaurant. Anyway if u want good food its good.

This must be some kind of hidden gem. This is not your every day “dollar Chinese take out. In fact, not even close. The Golden palace serves some of the finest Chinese food in the entire area. Be prepared to have a large appetite, as every thing is served family style, huge portions. So it’s best that each person in your party order one dish.
Don’t be fooled by the lack of people dining in. The majority of their business appears to be take out or delivery, as a lot people were coming and
going as well as their delivery person.
You will not be disappointed.

A rated restaurant. Plenty of parking. Friendly employees. orange checkered I give it ⭐⭐⭐ it was a bit too crunchy for me. The flavor was good but some of them did not have the flavor. Orange beef was really good I gave it ⭐⭐⭐⭐ it could use a little bit more flavor. And the best part there’s no fat in it. Just remember these are spicy you have to ask them no spicy. I could tell they recently remodeled and so it is really nice to go there

Here’s a refined version of your description:
Tucked away as a true hidden gem, this cozy spot serves family-style Chinese food at unbeatable prices. The warm and inviting atmosphere, paired with exceptional customer service, makes you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. We opted for the family meals, which allow you to customize your order based on group size, with flexible options for each dish. You can even adjust the spice level or swap ingredients, like we did by changing one chow mein to a veggie version instead of beef.
Every detail was carefully attended to, from the food’s delivery to the impeccable service, and most importantly, the taste. The dishes were savory, fresh, and comforting—approved 100% by my mom, who already can’t wait to return! And let me tell you, the wonton soup was simply perfect, bursting with flavor in every bite. The ambiance suits both large groups and solo diners, and you get to pick your seating when you walk in. Whether you’re sharing a feast with family or ordering a single plate for yourself, this spot will leave you wanting more.

The Southeast part of LA doesn’t have a great variety of authentic Chinese restaurants but this is really close. They have the elusive Beef Big Rice Noodles dish which I’ve only seen at one other location it’s basically a wide, rice noodle with beef. To a American or Hispanic palate it’s probably bland or no flavor but if you add a little Thai chicken sauce (sweet and spicy) or some type of hot sauce it’s a great dish. The only warning I would give you is that it’s oily so gall bladders beware. The orange chicken is crispy, the house chow main (house means they throw all the meats in there) is great. The house fried rice is okay. Their Kung Pao is spicy and it does tell you that on the menu it’s spicy so for some it might be too spicy. The Kung Pao though does not have your standard presentation of pale chicken pieces with vegetables, everything is cooked together with the peanuts and everything so it all turns out colored with the soy sauce and other ingredients but that also makes difficult to separate what you. They also use chestnuts in the Kung Pao another non traditional ingredient but it gives it a nice unexpected crunch. Their Thai tea with Boba passes. The gyōza/pot stickers are pan fried and not regular fried so they are softer and not crispy which I’m fine with! I’ve been here twice and I do like a lot. They answered my phone call and took my order over the phone and they asked for my phone number. Some places get a little uneasy with phone orders, so I do appreciate that they still do that. I forgot what else I ordered when I went there but I’m sure I’ll take pictures of next time.

Love the old school Cantonese style food. We’ve only been here twice and have tried different food, and so far, everything has been great.
