It’s bad enough that we don’t have authentic Chinese food in the area, and not sure what happened to this American Chinese-style restaurant, but it got worst and skimpy with food. If you look at the first four photos below, I took that 3-4 years ago. The last three were a to-go order recently. I’ve been to this place three other times, and I knew something was different. Food quality is not up to par, service is ok, lunch plates are so expensive, meals are overpriced, and some see overcooked.

I ordered online. Wonton soup and chicken fried rice. The soup was great! Then I went to eat my “chicken” fried rice. It was ok at first, then I wondered where the chicken was. All I got was fat pieces!!!! I poured it out and there was absolutely no chicken and the fat grossed me out. I tossed a $15 meal in the trash. Do better people!!! That was my one meal for the day.

The food chow fun and orange chicken was good. A classic Chinese place, but I was like where my food? I ordered takeout for dinner and the containers were half empty. Kind of disappointed when the reason why Chinese take out for dinner is so popular is not just quality but quantity. I paid full price for half empty containers of food.

I have only on 1 occasion out of 4 times been able to get service at the Golden Moon restaurant in Arroyo Grande. Twice they were closed unexpectedly and once no one even showed themselves after 7 minutes of waiting (even after ringing their little black bell).
