Pretty underwhelming experience at this location. I ordered four spinach patties, and they were all overdone; tasted burnt and unpleasant. I also got the snapper meal, but the sauce on the fish was basically just ketchup. Definitely not what I was expecting.

Actually not bad, got the oxtail platter. Cabbage and rice is bland, sweet plantains saved it. Spicy beef patties are good. A little bit more love to the food here would have a line outside the shop. Not a bad joint.

11/25/2025 stopped at GKCR around 5:15-5:30 on my way home. I ordered cabbage, rice and peas or peas and rice whichever way you choose to say it. I also ordered a spinach patty. I ate the patty on my way to the next stop the patty was hitting. I got home to eat some of cabbage and rice. I looked at the rice and knew it was going to be a problem. The rice looked bad and tasted worse than it looked. Very disappointed since I had been thinking about the rice and peas damn near all week

Very disappointed with the service here. I called ahead and ordered soup, but when I got there one of the workers had already sold my order to someone else. That should never happen. If someone places an order, it should be held for them.
I placed another order and waited again, only to get home and find out the soup was cold. After all that inconvenience, the least they could have done was make sure the food was hot and fresh.
The customer service was very poor and unprofessional. This is not how you treat customers. Absolutely ridiculous!! I’ll never recommend this place nor will I go back.

The atmosphere and service were very welcoming. However, the food was alarming. My family and I visited this establishment from out of town. We were in the area to see family and needed something quick to hold us over. I ordered a two beef patties, one chicken and a vegetable patty. As my wife was enjoying her patty, she pauses and immediately and spits it out. My first reaction was that she didn’t enjoy it. However, she looked mortified and stunned. I turned to see a long string of hair cooked within the patty itself. My family has long visited golden krust and this is the first time this has ever happened. We will not be returning to any golden krust establishment. Please internally review your policies and procedures for handling food.

I was in the area earlier and decided to stop in an order some food. I asked if they had white rice or rice and peas as
None of these were displayed, however I was told yes. I ordered rice and peas with Oxtail. The young lady turned her back to me and served the rice from a container that was not displayed then she came back to the counter and add some cabbage and the Oxtail. The cost was a concern but refused to complain as I wanted the food. When I got home and opened the container you could smell the burnt smoke coming from the rice. I taste alittle and could not swallow I had to spit it out and throw away everything includes the Oxtail. I’m not one to complain but im sorry to say I would never buy food here again. The smell of the rice was so strong of smoke and should not be served

We went here for lunch and order a few stuff, I recommend their oxtail and rice and beans. Dear me the meat is tender and we just love the rice and beans, their jerk chicken is flavorful and has a nice heat. And don’t forget to try mild beef panty, good stuff.

A friend of mines treated me with a surprise for lunch. I’ve never had Golden Krust until now. The chicken has potential and would be great if it wasn’t so dry. Luckily I had their jerk sauce which was AMAZING and helped a little. The beef patties were we good.

I come there frequently for breakfast but today pissed me off bad. Not only did the manager samantha barely givee any ackee and saltfish i went back to try and pay to get a lil more added and samantha said I had to purchase another meal price to get it. After showing her it was barely anything in there after moving it around to show it was more banana and dumping then anything, she gonna say i know what i put in there, as if i was lying. Poor customer service for someone who’s a manager. Looking forward to speak to her boss.
