Veteran eatery serving Chinese fare in a casual room brightened by red lanterns & Asian-esque decor.

Great little family-owned restaurant. Portions are generous, food was freshly cooked and very fast. These one star reviews look like they’re from those “elite Yelper” types
Anyways, I’m writing this review as a restaurant owner, albeit nowhere near here and I’m pretty sure I know good food when I taste it.

FINALLY!! I have found the BEST Chinese restaurant in the Lynnwood, Everett and Marysville area. Authentic Chinese cuisine, apparently is not common around here. But, after 4 years of searching, I finally found one that is worth the visit.
Food was served with tea, water, BBQ pork, spring roll, deep fried prawns, wonton soup and a friendly smile. All before the meal is even served.
The Deep Fried Almond Chicken is ACTUALLY PREPARED THE RIGHT WAY! Not just tempura deep fried chicken tenders with a side of gravy. All for under $20.00!
Sweet deal, man.
Golden House is definitely worth a try.

Great little spot. It’s my new favorite, and we love the style of the little house shaped restaurant. No food complaints. My main goto is the house chow mein, but we like the deep fried chicken and pork dishes too. Generals chicken, orange chicken, sweet and sour! All good options.

I totally messed up trying to order Uber eats from Golden House, and the local people at the restaurant were able to sort it out and cancel my order. I was looking at their menu at a different venue, but wanted it delivered to my house. Uber eats were not able to adjust the address, even though it was a
second after I placed the order.
Golden House saved me a service fee and full order charge that I would’ve otherwise had to pay if they had not fixed it for me. Their food is great, but this service was over the top. I really appreciate it.

Lots of parking, inside it had thr whole Asian decore and comfortable welcoming feeling. The food was ABSOLUTELY delicious. It was all made the way it’s supposed to, served family style. The serve was great, the hot tea in metal kettle was wonderful. The flavors reminded me of China City but Soo much easier on the pocket book so you WANT to order more and happy you did. I tried a few new things and OH BOY WAS I HAPPY❤️ DEFINITELY OUR NEW FAVORITE CHINESE RESTAURANT. If you WANT delicious food THEN COME HERE. You’ll be happy you did. I normally post pictures .. but .. the food was Soo mind blowing delicious I completely forgot. Sorry guys

When I try out a new Cantonese restaurant, there’s one dish that tells me everything I need to know about the kitchen: Beef Chow Fun. This dish is deceptively simple, but to make it right, the chef has to be at the top of their game. There’s was done exceptionally well. Everything about the dish was perfect. However, the Chinese American dishes you see in most fast food places, General Tso’s, Honey walnut shrimp, Almond chicken etc I can’t really judge since I hate these abominations and they taste disguising to me so you’ll have to tread the waters for yourself. I will continue to explore the traditional dishes of this place. Though I was served something that was supposed to be fried rice. It was more like cooked rice they drizzled some soy and something else on and called it good. I don’t think it saw the inside of a wok.

I was there yesterday, February 5, 2026 and I order what I thought it was a mandarin fried chicken and I got more like chicken nuggets. The workers was rude, actually very rude the waitress as well as the cook. And the carpet was super duty. I mean, nasty duty..

This establishment is absolutely beautiful. Its quiet and very peaceful. Soft music in the backround and the fish tank running was very tranquil. Now onto the food. My husband ordered the Schezwan chicken and I got their form of General Tso. We also got crab meat dumplings. Everything was so delicious. You could actually smell the fresh garlic. The gentleman also was extremely nice. Dinner was accompanied by some tea and ice water. It was also finished off by fortune cookies, let me tell you those blew me away. I am so glad I decided to check this place out.

pros-the customer service was amazing, and they were very busy. I still received my food fairly quickly. they’re portions are larger than expected.
cons-it is very “American chinese” I am unhappy about the food itself. there was no real flavor it tasted like everything was precooked and thrown together, cheaply made. I spent a significant amount on food expecting good quality, yet none of us could finish our portions because the quality was so bad.
it honestly was close to inedible for my entire family and i probably would have been better off going to panda express or safeway China express. we all felt ill within hours of eating.

When searching for a new Chinese restaurant we came across the Golden House. The staff was friendly, willing to make substitutions and modifications of the meal.
I felt price to value wasn’t there at all. Overall I’d rate price to value a 3/5.
Flavor is lacking in almost every dish we tried. We purchased the family meal with slight modifications. The general chicken was the best but by no means that good. It lacked sauce and spice. One positive is the chicken to breading ratio. Nice chunks of chicken in the meal. 3.5/5
Pork fried rice was one of the most basic I had. Taste and texture was light. I felt like I was eating cooked rice with minor flavoring. 2/5
Szechuan Chicken, loved the vegetables but again the meal was incredibly bland missing flavor and spice. 2/5
Chow Mien, basic average nothing special nothing wrong but again incredibly bland. 3/5
I have to comment on the wonton. I was expecting your more traditional crappy American wonton soup and was actually surprised here. The flavor on the wontons were yummy (no idea if they are fresh likely frozen) but I’d rate 4/5. My issue was we got 2 incredible small wontons per person it was an absolute joke and insult considering the up charge to change the soup.
All in all I’d come back only if I absolutely need Chinese food 5 minutes away, otherwise I’ll continue my search for a go to restaurant.
