Charming ice cream shop with old timey ambiance. We stopped because of east on/off on I-88. They use Perry’s Ice Cream, which is just OK ice cream. The flavor variety was disappointing. We shared a large and wanted 3 balance flavors – vanilla based, chocolate based and a special flavor. Out of 37 listed flavors, only 3 are chocolate based. The only one we considered (don’t like raspberry or mint) was the dregs at the bottom, which we did not want (we asked if they pull out a new bucket – they declined; most places would scrap that out & put it at the top of a new bucket). There are lots of other interesting flavors though, many fruit or nut based. Portion size, average (not generous).
Pro-tip, share a large ($5.50, 3 scoops ) and you can get 3 different flavors for 3 people to try (instead of 3 small @$4 = $12) – I especially like the group decision making & sharing (ice cream & subsequent critique) – it’s a bonding experience.

The ice cream here is wonderful! I especially love the pumpkin pie flavor in the fall—it’s the perfect balance of pumpkin without too much nutmeg. The banana cream pie is another favorite of mine. They also offer soft serve, which is great on a hot day. Overall, it’s a solid spot for a sweet treat when you’re craving something cool and delicious!

Lovely spot for an ice cream treat or a meal. Lots to choose from and a very friendly staff. The place is immaculate and lots of space in the back to sit outside and relax. Reasonable prices too.

Classic ice cream place with plenty of options and fried food. I had no idea what a corn nugget was at first, but they were well worth the price. Burger was good as well. They have other frozen treats besides ice cream, including frozen cheesecake, ice cream sandwiches, and bananas.

A welcome addition to our warm season’s daily routine. They have a nice yard with tables and a beautiful flowering tree, spacious dining inside, and a wide variety to select from – not just ice cream.

I accidentally found this place riding thru town. I can’t say how happy I am!! I got the fried ice cream and you can have what you want on it. Def a plus!! Then, I took my coworkers today and they loved it. We all pay with card so sadly they don’t have you tip with card or must ask? I’ll be bringing by a cash tip soon because everyone there is wonderful. So I didn’t forget. Because this place is a gem and I never want to short the staff who so deserve it.

So after you left the park we hung out up there a little bit longer tell Galaxy started showing signs of overheating then we went down to Golden Guernsey which was a disappointment compared to how it had been years prior. I mean yeah for a pup cup a milkshake a small cotton candy ice cream and med ice cream with sprinkles may have only cost a little over 20 bucks but they don’t have the flavor that they used to and the customer service could use some touching up they treat the people at the drive-thru part as more of a hindrance and don’t pay attention to the details versus when you go inside.. alone the ice cream flavors are basically generic with a few additives but mainly you could get all the flavors right there at Hannaford and Walmart . All in all I guess it’s a good place to quickly go and grab something if you really don’t care about the true flavors at this point they greatly have lost what they used to be except for a quick cheap fix.
