I’ve been coming here for 20 years. I hate to write this but for 54$ enough is enough. The owners don’t respond to reviews so this is for all you guys out there. I was in there at 3 to get szechwan chicken which takes a hour if you order late. There was no chicken but the flavor was good. Almond chicken which is always great had raw batter had to cook when I got home. Chicken fried rice 14$ there was little pieces at best. Eggrolls and white rice were good.

If I could give 0 stars I would.
Went in for lunch with a friend. Owner (I THINK) served us and was unfriendly to say the least. When my meal came it did not look at all like it should- Gai Kow -It had some weird brown gravy with veggies overcooked and no visible chicken. When I notified the lady who served us , ( I had to get up and go get her because she disappeared into the kitchen) she said she would take it off the bill and would not allow me to order something different.
My friend got soup and the crispy noodles were totally burnt. She took them in the back and brought the same ones out and said that’s all they had.
Not at all interested in satisfying customers.
We Used to love this place but I think they have given up on caring about serving food they can be proud of.

The service is fantastic and very friendly! No complaints there. I really want to like this restaurant, however the food is just bad. There is very little to no flavor. The sauces on many dishes that I have tried are mushy & bland. No spice, no garlic as the description says.
The dishes I have had recently had such small bits of meat rather than chunks of chicken, beef & pork. May return just for an egg roll or two, but that’s it.

Fast on-time carry-out. Woman was friendly and the dining room was super clean (I specifically checked since I wasn’t dining in.) Food was all very good. Classic Detroit-style Chinese taste. Bean sprout egg rolls with excellent plum sauce. Egg foo young was very tasty and had a lot of meat. Fried rice could’ve used scrambled egg but did have a few bean sprouts. Portions for the lunch chicken chop suey and the egg foo young were more than enough. This was our first visit. I will definitely go back. Most of the negative reviews seem to specifically be about the sesame chicken. Prices seem to be on par for Chinese, I think. About $12 per lunch.

Went there for the first time & waited over40 minutes, then we asked is our meals coming up & the cashier said it would be 10 more minutes, when we walked in the restaurant there was one other couple that was almost finished with their meal, the restaurant served us soup & egg rolls & charged us $13.73 for the cup of soup each & two egg rolls. They were taking care of takeout customers instead of people in the restaurant. Obviously we left and they didn’t even apologize for the wait.

Waited 40 minutes once arrived for my food. After being told it would be 35-40 minutes.total of 1hour and 20 minutes from order to checkout. Sesame chicken is awful. Brown bland beef gravy with chicken. Way over on the sesame seeds. Spicy for no reason. That said good egg rolls. And kid that rang me up was pleasant. Otherwise awful experience. Won’t be back. Sad for Oxford and surrounding area.

Sesame chicken is awful the worst I’ve ever had. Brown beef gravy on chicken. The sesame seeds themselves were over whelming and stale. 1 hour and 20 minutes from order to paying and receiving carry out. That said the egg rolls were good. Also the young man that rang me up was very kind and apologetic for the wait. Oxford offers other Chinese food and would highly recommend going to them before wasting your time and hard earned money at the Golden Dragon. I wish we would’ve read the reviews before ordering.

Carry out ordered sesame chicken (expecting a sweet, sticky goodness like you’d get anywhere else) BUT this was in a thick, bland gravy that wasn’t good at all.
We called about it and she said their sesame chicken is salty not sweet and would not do anything about it.
Ate the egg rolls and threw the rest out. Never in my 30+ years have I thrown away Chinese food.
