Lately, I’ve been exploring SGV for new Vietnamese restaurants to go to. So this morning went to this spot on a recommendation from a food blogger. They got this one not quite right. The place looked clean and there was a decent amount of people already dining, so it was a good start. We ordered beef rib pho and paid $1.50 extra for the stone bowl. Listen, save your money. Also ordered the shrimp pho in a regular ceramic bowl. The food was served fairly quick. The beef pho was a bit chewy and the broth was bland even after adding what I believe was chili oil. The shrimp pho was the worst. The broth was bland and the kitchen didn’t even devein the shrimp! All of 6-7 shrimp had the I showed 2 of the servers and not a single offer to correct the issue. If you go here, do not ‍♀️ order shrimp dishes. It took several peppermints to take the bad taste out of my mouth.

This place is awesome! The pho is really good from the broth to the toppings. Very fresh ingredients and rich in taste. Our waiter was friendly and very helpful explaining some of the dishes. We got a rice combo with 3 items and it was delicious I’m glad our waiter suggested it. Pricing is a bit high but not by much.

I thought the food was really good. We got the Nem platter which comes with grilled sausage, charbroiled pork and egg rolls so that we could make our own rolls. In addition there were vermicelli noodles, herbs, cucumber and other greens. I thought it was a healthy alternative and could easily feed two people.

Golden Delight Vietnamese Restaurant delivers an unforgettable dining experience. Every dish we tried was bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors, and the *huge portions* ensure you leave fully satisfied—perfect for big appetites or sharing!
**Canh Bún (House Special Tomato Soup with Thick Vermicelli)** – The broth is absolutely divine—rich, tangy, and deeply savory, with the perfect balance of tomato brightness and umami depth. The thick vermicelli adds a wonderful texture, and the generous serving makes it a meal in itself. **Imperial Rolls** – Crispy on the outside, packed with flavorful filling, and served with an abundance of fresh herbs. The portion (six rolls) is perfect for sharing.**Golden Delight Special Broken Rice** – A *hearty and filling* plate! The broken rice was fluffy, and the combination of grilled meats (especially the juicy pork chop), pickled veggies, fried egg, and fish sauce tied everything together beautifully. The portion is so big, you might even have leftovers.
The service was friendly.Whether you’re craving comforting soups, crispy rolls, or a fulfilling rice dish, Golden Delight nails it—with portions that match the incredible flavors. Highly recommended!
Gotta to early coz there’s always a line and during dinner weekend dinner time it might be hard to find a parking

Upon entering Golden Delight, the first impression is the interior decor themed in gold and white; the lighting, tables and chairs, and even the glass jars for condiments all echo the restaurant’s name. The overall environment is also exceptionally clean and bright; it’s probably the cleanest Vietnamese restaurant I’ve ever visited! Moreover, the choice of music is excellent, making dining here very relaxing.

This time, I ordered the signature Golden Delight Pho, and it’s my first time having it in a stone pot—very special! Not only does it look more upscale, but it also keeps the soup warm longer. The broth’s seasoning is perfect, the meat is selected very well, the beef tendon is stewed to a tender and bouncy texture, and the fresh bean sprouts are generously provided. I couldn’t help but nod while eating; it’s so delicious! I also ordered a lychee oolong tea; the sweetness and aroma are just right, and there are even two lychees in the tea—truly delightful.

I also really appreciate their service; every staff member has a smile, answers questions kindly, and takes good care of the customers. You can tell it’s a great restaurant with a warm, human touch!

New fav spot! Overall pretty satisfied with every item!! Friends who eat out everyday for lunch in the area enjoy this place…and they are very very picky.

On a Tuesday 12pmish, it was packed but it’s still possible to just grab a seat within 5min.

$16.50 Golden Delight Pho.
$15.99 3 Items Broken Rice. We picked Charbroiled Pork Chop, Steam Egg, Egg rolls.
$14.99 Rice Cake with dried Shrimp (12pc) (add $1 for Central style). We got the Central style. Heavier version.
$5.50 Pennyworth Juice. Actually wasn’t overly sweet!!

The Vietnamese food here is solid and the interior is newly renovated and feels very clean. Also the menu has a lot of variety.

My family and I got the beef pho, spring rolls, and broken rice plate. It was all really delicious and tasted fresh.

I came to LA from San Francisco and visited Golden Delightful, and the whole experience genuinely impressed me. Their signature dish is served on a hot stone, and placing the beef onto the sizzling surface is not only delicious but also a really unique experience. The Vietnamese style sausage is another must try, with great texture and a deep savory taste. Everything here feels carefully prepared, and I even caught myself thinking I should move from the Bay Area to LA just to enjoy food like this more often. This place truly made my trip better, and I would come back without hesitation. Highly recommended.

Golden Delight, the newly opened Vietnamese and Chinese restaurant on Valley Boulevard, is already making waves. As the first branch of the popular Golden Delight on Garvey Avenue, it promises a fresh dining experience for locals and visitors alike.

Ambiance and Decor: 4/5 Upon entering, you’ll notice the abundance of gold decor. From the water pitchers to the utensils and even the scissors, everything gleams with opulence. The recent renovation has transformed the space into something entirely different, fitting for a new establishment.

Service: 4/5 The youthful staff at Golden Delight is friendly and attentive. They swiftly took our orders, ensuring a smooth dining experience. It’s refreshing to see a younger crew maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for excellent service.

Menu and Food: 4/5 Unlike its sister location on Garvey, this branch focuses exclusively on Vietnamese cuisine. We tried the Charbroiled Pork and Egg Roll with vermicelli, as well as the Pork Chop and Egg Roll with tofu skin and broken rice. The portions were generous, and the flavors were spot-on. However, my pork chop had a bit more fat than I preferred.

Pricing: 3/5 Golden Delight offers reasonable prices, especially considering the portion sizes. Some menu items, like Banh Beo, are not yet available, but that’s understandable for a new restaurant.

Overall Impression: Golden Delight has room to grow, given its recent opening. With another location on Garvey Avenue, they should fine-tune their menu offerings. I’ll give them a few more months to settle in before revisiting. Parking can be a challenge, so consider street parking.

Ordered Pho Ga (Chicken Pho), Spring Rolls, Flower Blooming tea, and Watermelon Juice.

Pros: Amazing food, great ambiance, good service, good prices, short wait. Clean facilities.
Cons: Loud (but its opening day), and staff seemed overwhelmed and took a bit to get my order.
