I came here with the wife for a late breakfast. I’ve been to the Golden Dawn Diner a few times before. What’s great is breakfast is served all day every day. There are breakfast specials before 11am but we arrived just after 11 but we could have taken advantage of lunch specials but decided breakfast would hit the spot. I ordered the farmers’ omelet and my wife ordered the French toast. She got a side of bacon and I got a side of scrapple. The service was fast and friendly. The food came out in about 5 minutes after ordering. I seasoned my omelet and homefries with salt and pepper plus a little tobacco sauce which was on the table. Everything tasted good. I was surprised to see the scrapple was 2 slices. The only complaint was the cook on the bacon. One slice was overcooked and a couple were undercooked for my wife’s preference. But half of the slices were perfect. The cost wasn’t bad either and we will keep the Golden Dawn in our rotation.

Stopped at Golden dawn for breakfast when we visited Sesame place in Philly. Their customer service is incredible! Loved the ambience and food. Everything was on point, oh and prices are very reasonable for the size of portions!

Word of advice: come hungry! Their 13 page menu has hundreds of different dishes & items to choose from, so if you’re craving it, they’ve likely got it! To start, I ordered the New England clam chowder and Greek salad… the clam chowder hit the absolute spot and the salad was HUGE. For the main course I got the very fried chicken croquette served over mashed potatoes and topped with gravy, which was comfort food at its finest, as well as a side of crispy sweet potato fries. For dessert I got the bread pudding to finish it all off on a sweet note. It is an incredible value and overall just a really great experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very warming and energetic. We all went home full & happy. I will definitely return to the Golden Dawn, especially so I can try their breakfast next! (And their rest of their cakes!)

Waitress was fantastic. Very attentive. Ordered a philly cheese steak was very disappointed. Very dry and no flavor. Fries were good and the coleslaw. Food was served quickly. Overall not bad.

Went there for dinner on a Friday and the place was packed so I thought that was a good sign, it was not. I ordered Eggs Benedict and the eggs were very runny and the toast was burnt. My friend ordered hamburger sliders and the meat was not cooked long enough. My other friend ordered Chicken Parm and he did not care for the sauce. I think because of how busy it was the Chef just wanted to get the plates out without properly cooking it. I am not excited about going back, so I won’t.

I’ve been going to this diner after church on Sunday for years and have had positive experiences. Today was an exception- because one person wanted their political views forced on other patrons they had the waitress change a traditional news station on the tv to a propaganda channel. When I requested it be changed to a regular news channel I was told that because the person was there first and asked that the propaganda channel be put on it had to stay on. It made for a most unpleasant breakfast experience. I don’t understand why this man’s political views were forced on other people with different opinions. A restaurant or diner is supposed to be a place where everyone feels comfortable no matter what their political leanings are. If we had not been there with another couple I would have walked out. I complained multiple times to the waitress but according to her the manager said it had to stay on because one man requested it. Since there are a number of TV’s there imagine the chaos if each tv had one person’s favorite political show on . Imagine the discord it would cause patrons. Politics should not be forced on people in a public restaurant.

Great food both time we have visited with our two year old. The staff is great, the prices are just right and the quality of what you get still feels like top ingredients. The loaded baked potato and banana split was amazing.
