The staff are great! The food is mediocre. The french toast has good flavor but it’s a little hard. I didn’t try the pancakes but they are not soft and fluffy so I passed. If you compare Golden Corral to Fred’s Market, Fred’s wins hands down for buffet. I was here for breakfast. I LOVE bacon, the reason I went to go to buffets, but I didn’t care for the bacon here. Didn’t even finish what was on the plate.

Being out on the road traveling for work it’s hard to find a good home cooked meal. The food, and customer service were great! For a minute it felt like Sunday dinner at grandma’s house . I highly recommend the pot roast.

Tony and I revisited Golden Corral on South Florida Ave. This is one of our favorite places if we’re out shopping or running errands. The buffet is always clean and home cooked dishes. They do a southern girl proud. The rolls are always fresh out of the oven. On our visit tonight we learned that our favorite Golden Corral will be closing in 2 weeks. We were stunned. This restaurant has been here in Lakeland for a very long time. Those of us in South Lakeland will miss them. The front of house and back of house staff are all so helpful and very friendly. From management to the cooks, servers, cashiers. Wonderful. Tony and I will miss all of you. Thank you for always taking good care of us.
