I walked into Golden Corral with zero expectations—it was my first time ever, and I was honestly just craving a steak. The manager (from Alabama), greeted me warmly and offered to show me around. That immediately set the tone.
This place is like Shoney’s on steroids, but in the best way. Tons of options, everything well stocked, and shockingly good quality for the price. For $14.99( lunchtime) I had sirloin steak grilled to order, fried okra, popcorn shrimp, fried chicken (phenomenal), salad—you name it.
My server, Bre funny coincidence after just having a Bri at Shoney’s—was wonderful. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there, staff and guests alike. After a long, difficult travel day, this felt comforting and generous. Five stars, easily.

I ordered for pickup, door dash. So I was not the one who picked it up. I ordered 2 pizzas, pot roast and a steak meal.
They left out the second pizzas and my Pot roast? Had no roast in it what so ever. Called the store, got hung up on and now they are closed. Absolutely do not recommend! I am very unhappy! $60 is not worth it.

Good food mostly. For buffet. Buffets are never my favorite.This was a friend’s choice. Some items were cold. And for a lunch buffetSome things seemed to be recycled from this day before didn’t seem quite fresh. The salad bar was great. And it had a great selection of dessert options. I was really disappointed when they put out the pot roast.I watched them put out the potroast and it was not hot. I was really happy with the salad bar though.And the service was excellent. The atmosphere is a three, because it’s a golden corral.What do you expect from an atmosphere in golden corral?

Are there for Thanksgiving. The food was good. I gave it four because some of it wasn’t cooked. The weight normally is due to the Thanksgiving Rush. It seemed a little rushed. You know what I mean?
The staff was great. The check-in was great. I would call it kid friendly because my daughter is four and not loud but she’s a little bit rambunctious and they dealt with her very well. They didn’t complain and is what I mean.
The buffet was always full so great place to eat.

It’s changing rapidly, it’s down hill from where it was a few years ago. I think it’s under new management now. I see it coming with every visit. it keeps getting worse and worse. It will be closing down soon . If they stay on this path. I hate that. I used to go there at least 3 or 4 times a month . Everyone says the salad bar sucks. Nothing on it anymore except fillers to make it look like a it’s bigger than it is. The steak is still awesome.

Absolutely the worst experience ive had at this place chicken was burnt to crap. Like it was at least 10 minutes over cooked. I went right after they opened. Rolls tasted weird. The whole experience started off with out of dr.pepper and coke. My two go to but at the end of the day no big deal. But then I go to get ice cream and there out of that also. THAT WAS THE BIGGEST WASTE OF 20 BUCKS I EVER SPENT. I am now going to eat somewhere else because I left hungry. Im seriously considering not going back.

The food was Extremely good. Wayne the manager is always pleasant and completely on top of things!! He helps make our dining experience exactly what we want!! Susan was our server tonight and she was so accommodating and willing to help with a quickness!! Food is fresh no matter what time of day we come. Came in for breakfast. To start, the cashier was cold and clearly didn’t want to be there. I have no idea why someone would want him as the face of their business not welcoming customers.
I went through more than 15 plates to find one that didn’t still have food stuck to it. The buffet food looked old and dry 20 minutes after they opened so we asked for a refund and left.
If they can’t wash plates then I can only imagine what the kitchen that we can’t see looks like.

We brought a large group of kids to eat today. We can’t thank Wayne and the staff at the Bristol VA location enough for their service today! We had a great experience and the kids can’t wait to go back!
