Had some general tsos chicken that is honestly the worst I’ve ever had. Tasted like day old meal that was microwaved. Idk if they did but it was super soggy, which can be expected but tough on the inside. Also the rice tasted old, hard grains throughout. Idk if they’re not covering food and putting in the fridge, but absolutely atrocious food, literally had 4 bites of a $20 meal

I don’t understand the bad reviews. This is one of the best Chinese restaurants that I found in Newark Delaware being as though I’m from Philly and Philly got a lot of good Chinese spots. It was hard to find a good Chinese restaurant, but I finally found 1 which is this one! I seen some people complaining about the food overcook but I personally like my food overcooked. And maybe they seen peoples reviews about their Customer Service so they gotten better because when I call, they don’t have an attitude with me. You should give them a try.

This restaurant could be the best in this area. The food could be Good if they give you what you ask for. I tried them 3 times. First order Fried wings and fries perfectly AMAZING, now I’m chasing it. Ordered again I specifically said not hard or double fried the Worse! Called back and expressed how I felt the older lady says bring back…really, too far screw the gas I’m wasting. Today 1/5/22 ordered shrimp and beef with garlic sauce. Fixing plates I have shrimp and scallops…now I’m furious. I call them…older lady says bring back. I take back she just added the beef over what I already had. I am pissed screw Covid, screw allergies to the scallops. I’m done! My household orders from them at least twice a month. When I showed them this….they’re done. Horrible place of business and RUDE….no apologies., bad customer service and that’s the field I train staff. Older women need to come to training.

The sweet and sour shrimp I recieved was BURNT AND HARD. NOT EDIBLE! I called the restaurant and they said they couldn’t refund my money or send another order. I’ve read a few reviews about drivers asking for tips, but they shouldn’t have to. Tipping is proper restaurant etiquette. Especially during a pandemic! No restaurant is “lucky to receive your business,” customers are lucky they still get to order their favorite foods and should always show gratitude with gratuity.

Let’s just say that when you order a quart of roast pork fried rice. You don’t need all ten fingers to count the pieces of pork.
Also the roast pork yat gaw mein had two slivers of roast pork in it. When I say slivers I’m talking like three inche strands of spaghetti type slivers.
Called to complain and was told that it is soup. So I guess there’s no roast pork in a roast pork soup? Kind of like chicken stew without the chicken. You can tell she’s used to complaints by the way she handles herself over the phone.

Placed an order at 20 minutes to 6:00 did not receive my order till 6: 30 . Don’t like ordering from them really because they charge way too much money when you want to put it on a card they say you have to make a $20 minimum and now it’s a $23 minimum and when you do they say you have to make more because $3 is the delivery fee then you have to still give a tip right I would not recommend Golden City at all they’re ignorant they’re rude and it’s not worth it the food may be okay but it’s nothing to write home about I’m very disappointed it’s been over 56 minutes and I was told it would be 45

Their customer service and food is bloody disgusting. My friends and I ordered shrimp Lo mein the noodles were hard and the shrimp was bloody awful. My friends went back with their food since it was so bad and they just said “add more sauce” but they did not give any sauce. They could have saved them selves from this bad review and rating by simply remaking the dish; they just laughed at us instead. What a terrible experience.
