I might be biased but I like Golden Chick I was passing through Del Rio. Its location on the main highway right in town 10/10 for customer service and food a was hot a good.

I always go to get my son’s lunch because he loves this place. Obviously my time is limited so I always go through the drive thru and I arrive early because service is always slow. Today wasn’t a good day apparently. There was a line when I arrived which tells me there will be a LONGER wait but I was appalled at the amount of time I was just parked to order and NEVER got to order because I was there for 30mins TOTAL waiting and didn’t even get to order the food. I had to rush to McDonalds which my son did not want and it was just inconvenient. This doesn’t happen all the time but it does look like you need to hire more people or just have employees who are willing to work because you can tell the ones you currently have are worn out. It is a fast food restaurant, it shouldn’t take this long to even be acknowledge in the drive thru.

Place was overran with trash. Had to wait a good 20 minutes to order. Asked for ketchup and gave us 3. Not sure what happened we usually get decent food and service.

Definitely not my best experience smh. Brand new to Del Rio and wanted some chicken and gizzards. Heard of a restaurant called Memes Kitchen but they were too packed. Saw Golden Chick and I’m typically a huge fan. When I got to the speaker I asked the gentleman if they had gizzards. He said they do but they didn’t want to cook any . Mind you they don’t close for another 4 hrs at this point lol. I said “wow ok,” and he replied with they will cook them but it’ll take THIRTY MINUTES to cook smh. Another note, I’m literally the only customer in the drive through. I told him I couldn’t wait that long, and ordered a 3 piece meal and 2 pieces of fish. I somewhat blame myself for not checking before leaving but I only received a 2 piece while being charged for 3 smh. Y’all have to do better Del Rio Golden Chick on Ave F smh

Ordered online. Message said it was ready. I went in and had to wait over 45 minutes in line. There were only 4 ppl ahead of me and it still tool over 45 minutes to tell them I had an online order. Then they started to make my order. Finallu got my food about an hour after I placed my order.

The bun they give is not like the picture on their menu! One order was wrong! They corrected it but the cashier, said “I did not take your order”, when I said the order was wrong. Both were not customer friendly. The cook/prep guy stepped in and took the initiative to correct my order! Food is good but cashiers need some training. Fish is ok, grilled chick is a bit salty, fried ckick was good= we were hungy and ate it all anyway.
