Maybe my taste buds are fried or used to certain taste but everything at golden chick besides the sweet stuff seems like it lacks seasoning or salt. The chicken is fried amazingly and juicy but there is just no taste beyond the minor amount of seasoning sprinkled on it. Funnel cakes and rolls (when you dont get dry old ones) are amazing but the chicken lacks seasoning in my opinion.

I have been trying not to give yall a bad review because I like the food and most times the service is friendly. I went in this morning and order 9 lemon pepper wings combo. For starters I was given hot wings and 6 wings. I go back and it’s like someone back there can’t count because I was still shorted a wing. I’m not going back for the wing but yall really gotta pay attention. It wasn’t busy, matter fact I might have been the first customer. This isn’t the first time I’ve had this same issue please do better at listening to what is said on the drive thru and pay attention to the food before you give it out to the customers.

I paid $16.46, don’t know the exact price, but somewhere in that area, but my fried chicken was not fresh or hot. The crust on the chicken was so hard and stale you couldn’t chew it. My roasted chicken was cold, very disappointed.

Just paid 29.00 to be forgotten in the parking lot for over 30 minutes. The food was middling!! 02/27/2026 !! The Texas Pecan chicken salad is horrible. The combo is $12 and the Sandwich has a strange taste with almost a dog food smell. Will never order this again.
