We were vacationing and unfamiliar with the area. We were told the pizza and burgers were good so we gave it a try. It did take a while for us to get service but it was worth it. Once we did get service, the waitress was very pleasant. Our Hawaiian pizza was fantastic! I was upset that I couldn’t eat more than two pieces but that just means that I have more to enjoy later. The atmosphere was eh, but it is exactly what you would expect from a small town bar.

As a locals bar, this is 5 star. Every thing I expect from a great local establishment. Great service, tips on the area, great food, reasonable prices. Extremely friendly and helpful waitstaff gal. We made the mistake of renting a local cabin for a few days but forgot to bring coffee. She told us where to get it. This area has very limited grocery availability. We shared the 3 slider meal and the con queso chips. All very good. Mind you this is not not a five star fine dining establishment, it is a five star locals bar and grill.

I went here frequently 40 years ago before leaving the area. Ownership has changed hands many times since then. This was my first experience with the new owners, and I was not disappointed. The owner was our waiter and was very friendly. Our food was delivered surprisingly quickly and was amazing!
They still have pool tables and a band, which the Nugget is famous for on a Saturday night. The band was a two piece and were really good. The clientele is younger than years past but some older patrons were still keeping the place thriving.
I gave it 4/5 stars for atmosphere because the booth seating was uncomfortable and oddly placed. Maybe having it flush with the wall would have been better but I understand the placement making it easier for people to get in and out from both sides.
Gentleman, there were some certified hotties here if you’re looking for love ❤️
