Gold Marquess’s story begins in 2015 when our founders from Hong Kong fancied a Chinese banquet-style restaurant in South Florida. Our concept was founded on serving food from scratch. As a family-operated kitchen, we have been handcrafting dim sum, scratch cooking every sauce, and wok-cooking each dish every day since. We sincerely thank our community for supporting and tasting our food!
Chinese dishes & varied dim sum options are offered at this elevated restaurant with a bar.

The service was horrible—the employee dismissively said, “What do you want? We don’t do refunds.” I wasn’t asking for a refund, all I wanted was the correct order I paid for. Instead, I left completely disappointed and without what I actually ordered.
I will not be coming back
Being a New York native, I spent many Chinese New Years in Chinatown eating dim sum. So I was excited to continue this tradition at Gold Marquess. Especially since they would be bringing the food out the traditional way with push carts. However also traditionally the ladies pushing the carts didn’t speak much English and couldn’t always explain or confirm the various dishes. I ended up resorting to ordering from the menu because it was in English and I could mark exactly what I wanted.
The quality of the food was very good. My only complaint is that the food from the dim sum carts just didn’t seem that hot. Maybe they cooked it earlier to prepare for the day but with the exception of the food I ordered off the menu, everything tasted lukewarm.
I wanted to love this place so much and would try it again for dinner since I know their Chinese food is good. But think next time I want dim sum I will try another restaurant such as China Pavilion which in my opinion has better dim sum.
The Bad: service is terrible. I can’t emphasize this enough. Be prepared to wait wait wait. The place was half empty. Since we waited so long I was able to witness the chaos of the wait staff. No organization at all. The food is not worth the wait or the price. We won’t be coming back. If the owner or manager is reading this please fix your wait staff… assign tables to waiters instead of having waiters floating all over the place looking for stuff to do. There is better Chinese/Asian cuisine in Pembroke Pines than this place.
At the moment they are going through a remodel, half the place is closed so make sure you call ahead, it gets packed really quickly.
Recommending.
Recommendation. Soup Dumplings (Shanghai) sesame ball, and the crispy shrimp ball
