Awesome staff, fun atmosphere, outdoor seating that’s pet friendly. Got my order exactly how I asked ( I’m picky about my hashbrowns being crispy and my eggs.) I’d recommend to anyone looking for a fun, historic oldschool bar/ restaurant.

My sister and I had a warm, friendly greeting from the owner Chris. Our sandwiches were awesome and filling and the fresh French fries were great and yummy! The homemade chips are outstanding and the salsa is the best!
They have a large version of Jenga we played at our table, that was fun. Great atmosphere and very clean. The staff came by to chat for a bit, all so warm and friendly. Extra nice was sitting next to fireplace while we ate.

I love the atmosphere here. It is a wonderful old building. We sat next to a very nice fire place. It was hard to spot from the road as I had only seen pics of the front. The hand made food was awesome. We went on a weekday, but it looks like it would be fun on the weekends.

We met the owner Chris for the first time when we ate at the Gold Canyon Cafe about 30 days ago and have eaten there weekly since and experiencing the same memorable journey back in time. The Gold Canyon Cafe is in historic downtown Dayton with a colorful history. I recommend you visit this area and Chris’s establishment in particular. Chris and his staff are very friendly.

Came in for breakfast and was greeted by the owner. Very friendly, very genuine. Food was fantastic… All homemade, nothing frozen served here! Highly recommend! Will definitely come back for lunch, dinner and drinks at the old school western bar!

This is a wonderful place to get cozy with friends. Prices are reasonable and the service is spectacular. And the Marguerittas are wonderful! All the food is homemade, down to the chips and salsa! Chris, the owner, knows how to treat customers.

For a family of 4 and a price of $62.00 total the food was horrible. Waitress and customer service is a 4 star, but the fries we over cooked and chalky, the tri tip or (steak) as I call it was over done to the point it tasted like beef jerky & they asked $18 for a plate I could have made at home.The burgers were of a quality I could have done at home & same thing with the mashed potatoes and gravy and the corn dog. The only positive I can give were the chips and salsa and the dessert were on point. I was not impressed and will not be back to this establishment. Lesson of the night was you wont know till you try it.
