I’m going to be honest, I haven’t eaten here yet, but I know a lot of Oroville is afraid to try new things. Oroville ccould use some culture besides fast food restaurants like Panda Express. Indian Cuisine comes from the heart. Indian cuisine uses more spices than you could name off the top of your head. Indian chefs study for years to become master of their trade. It’s not like grilling a steak; put it on the grill until it’s cooked and done, it takes skill.

Give it Indian food a chance. It would be a shame to see this business go under because of fear. I highly recommend getting their basic curry (Indian food is naturally spicy, so if you don’t like spicy be sure to tell them that), with jasmine rice, that is always a great introduction to Indian food. Samosas are kind of like Indian Empanadas, filled with diced potatoes, carrots, and peas and spices. They are very good.

If you like spicy, get Vindaloo. It’s my favorite dish, and is so spicy it will make you feel closer to God. Don’t ignore this place, Oroville. DO IT! Let’s show adjacent towns we have real culture and class above our 6 billion hamburger joins and 10 thousand fast food restaurants and our fake mexican taco bells etc. etc.

My family and I love Indian food, but hate to have to drive either to Chico or Yuba City to get it. The food at Gogi’s was delicious and very reasonably priced. The restaurant clean and the people working there was very nice! One of my new favorite places in town!

Food is okay, though the curries were all separated from sitting on the heat too long. Not much substance in the curries either, mainly just sauce with little veggies or meat.

Friend found a hair in her rice, too, which was not pleasant.
