Go Vegan – Restaurant
Reviews
From crunchy to smooth to chewy textures, to sweet to savory to spicy sauces… there is a huge variety to entice any palate. We have brought many non-vegan friends here & they have always walked away full & happy & surprised they enjoyed it so much! (It’s extra fun to pair dinner here with a great show at the iconic El Campanil theater..another Antioch gem only 5 mins away!)
Please don’t be put off by the ordinary looking exterior in an old strip mall. Walking inside is bright & welcoming, with brightly colored tables & deeply cushioned chairs. The service is prompt & friendly & the food is worth waiting for (although the kitchen is quick). The food is very reasonably priced & the portions are generous. And there are lots of fun drinks & delicious desserts to try.
Give Go Vegan a chance to surprise & delight you! We’ll definitely be back soon!
We had (forgot pictures) the wontons and potstickers. Both came fried with a good crunch, the texture of the filling was amazing!
My partner ordered the strawberry milkshake and gave it 5/5.
For dinner we ordered the Vegan Broccoli and Beef, Vegan Sweet & Sour Chicken/Prawn, and Garlic Noodles.
The Garlic Noodles are to die for. The texture the taste they were awesome. I’ve posted a picture below of that amazing “noodle jiggle”.
The beef and broccoli was 5/5. The texture of the “meat” was spot on. Perfect broccoli to meat ratio.
The sweet and sour chicken/prawn was perfect. The sauce was exactly what I had been craving. The texture of the fried “chicken” and “prawn” were perfect. Again, awesome ratio of veg to meat.
I love the garlic noodles, they are my fave. Then the lemon grass chilli was the next best thing. The beet salad was good and my group loved it, I just don’t care for beets. Really nothing was bad. Also, it should be said I and my most of my group are not vegan or a vegetarian and we still enjoyed the food.
Their pot stickers are contain Soy Ham. I am afraid If I eat them, I will develop liking for pork products.
I ordered Mongolian beef today but it does not come with rice. That is a bummer.
But it tastes, look and feel like beef.
Mongolian beef costs $14.95 and the rice is extra for $3.95.
The white rice they served me was not warm and didn’t taste fresh.
Their brown rice is pathetic in taste.
Service is good, and he served me the food with respect.
The staff were all lovely, the food was made quickly and ALL was delicious! I can’t recommend the garlic noodles enough.
The portions are very generous! Sharing three dishes between the two of us still left us with leftovers!
We also had a mango smoothie and coffee smoothie, both were delicious. We’ll be coming back for sure!
