Fun first experience building our own bowl at Go Fish Poke Bar
It was our first time making a custom poke bowl, and the process was easy and enjoyable. For the base, we did half sushi rice and half organic greens. You can choose up to three proteins, so we added salmon, tuna, and shrimp, plus crab salad on greens. Avocado and fish roe were extras, and totally worth it. We finished it off with sauces like sesame and spicy aioli, and toppings including tempura flakes, sesame seeds, garlic furikake, green onions, and cucumbers. Everything came together into a super fresh, flavorful, and delicious poke bowl. Great quality ingredients and a fun, customizable experience—we’ll definitely be back.

Good portion. Service is really good. You can eat outside. Good atmosphere.
I got a large bowl with a 5 fish, it was $18.
Wasn’t busy when I came.

Best place for poke in the Bay Area. Handrolls, musubis and more. Service is fast.

love this place for poke! It’s definitely pricier than the nearby Poke House in Town & Country and has smaller portions but I like the premade mixes they have. I usually get the premixed sesame gomae shrimp, the veggie mix, and the seared shouyu salmon. Since the mixes are already flavored you don’t need to even add sauce and it tastes delicious. I also recently discovered you can request all salad and no rice as the base so combined with the poke you can have a really savory salad! Anyways this place is great if you want a light and relatively healthy yet still tasty meal.

The service is pretty fast when I go (albeit I usually go just before they close so they’re never busy then).

The inside of the restaurant is modern but warm. I also like how they have inside and outside seating so you can sit outside when it’s warm.

No frills counter order style Japanese meals mainly bowls and rolls within the vibrant shopping center. The filling to rice ratio for the rolls are substantial. Seating is limited while most sales are for takeouts and quick bites at the outdoor tables. A good place for snacking or if you are craving for rice meals.

Service was pretty efficient so good job guys.

Quality is fresh and not bad for a location at a mall.

Pricey due to Yay area’s standards, however, imho, they could do better with the quantity. We’ve been at other spots that justify their quantity with their high price.

Comparing the large to small bowl doesn’t have a big difference with quantity, just the price. So we recommend to stick with a small or and for the Kids…get them the Kid’s bento box.

One of the best poke restaurants in the Bay Area. The fish seems to be very high quality, and they give you a sizable portion. Their rice is very good, and many of their toppings are free. Some toppings, like avocado, cost $1 extra. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes poke, or who wants to try it for the first time.

Mar 2023: Still tasty, but the portion sizes seem to have gotten a bit smaller, at least for the large poke bowl, and the rice was a bit too cold. (3 star)
Mar 2019: Recommended for a quick bite! Tasty, friendly service, well priced at $12 for three hand rolls. The rolls were freshly made. I chose spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and shrimp tempura; the shrimp tempura was warm and perfectly crispy. The others were tasty and delightful. Will return for some more. (5 star)
