No one should say anything bad about Dōngběi. It is one of the most genuine and lovely places in China, with the warmest and most sincere people, and you can truly feel it through their dishes. Please come and try Dongbei cuisine here, you won’t regret it!

So I’ve eaten and done take out here. Today was the first time I’ve had a really bad experience. My girlfriend and I ordered through Uber eats and the food came timely and everything was packed well. We began to serve food to our family and there was a 2inch by 1.5 in piece of fried plastic in the food! I could not believe it. My child would have been served that if not for the close eye of my girlfriend serving the food. We called the restaurant and they apologized and told us that we needed to get the money refunded from Uber. No big deal. They discounted that take out only and what sucks is this is a place I really like to eat at. That is the only reason why I am not one star on everything. There isn’t anything wonderful or fantastic about this place the food just has one item that I really enjoy. Everything else is just really spicy using many many mala peppers. I’m not sure if we will be back. Torn right now.

What A great fine in Malden. My friends and I went after seeing a post on Instagram, and we were blown away with the food. Service was brilliant, exceptional, quick, and servers were very friendly. Wide selection of food. Everything was delicious. We will be back.

I guess I’m on a quest to try every Ma po Tofu in Malden. This is the best so far. Super tasty. spicy and numbing but not too much.
Clean new interior. Nice staff. A little pricey for lunch but you get what you pay for.

My personal favorites were the frog legs, spicy chicken in wok, sizzling cabbage pork, eggplant, and stir-fry egg noodles. Everything was cooked and seasoned well. I like the northern Chinese BBQ. The cuisine was pretty nice and tasty. Staffs were friendly as well and provide great suggestions on what to order. We arrived a bit late and they ran out of the tea we liked. Would definitely be back and try out other dishes.

We dined here with 4 adults and 2 toddlers, and unfortunately it was a very bad experience. After the meal, two adults and one child developed diarrhea, which is extremely concerning—especially when children are involved.
We contacted the restaurant to explain the situation and requested a refund, but they refused to take any responsibility. Given the circumstances, we will be filing a complaint with the local health authorities.
Aside from the health issue, the food itself did not taste good, and based on what happened, we seriously question the cleanliness and food safety practices of this place.
Overall, this was disappointing and worrying. We will not be returning and do not recommend this restaurant, especially for families with kids.
