I’ve been here twice. First time was recommended the Rogan Josh with onion kulcha bread. Second time I was recommended the chef’s special chicken curry with garlic naan. Each time ordered medium. The Rogan Josh was smooth flavorful with lots of depth and perfect spices. The kulcha was great with the sweetness of the red onions really standing out. It was hot right off the pan and had a great crisp to it. Portions were perfect and filling. The chef’s special curry was also thick and rich very similar but not identical to the lamb. The chicken was firm and a bit drier than the lamb was. Flavor was again intricate and filling. Rice both days was a long grain and perfect done. The garlic naan was good but I liked the kulcha better. Both times the medium spices made my scalp sweat, if you use that metric.
The restaurant is a bit 80ish in design but it is clean and comfortable and quiet for couples and small groups or single diners.
The menu has many vegetarian options as you might expect.
Service is friendly and subdued offering reliable advice in my experiences.
Overall I enjoyed my meals here. If you already like Indian cuisine or you’d just like an introduction to it this would be a great place to go.

One of the better Indian places I’ve been to around in Topeka. Affordable buffet lunch special and varies within each day and it comes with a drink as well! Helpful and friendly owners too. They let me in to take pictures and encourage reviews

Excellent selection of dishes on the buffet. Food is fresh and delicious. I loved the mango ice cream. Staff is friendly. Cozy dining room, with soft lighting. But views out windows are of buildings. Who cares, food makes up for it. Lunch is very busy.
If they can keep up this quality of food, this is definitely going to be the only place in Topeka I will go for Indian food.

We are here during a road trip about a week ago. We got there shortly before the end of their lunch hours. One of us is vegan so we ordered a Chana Masala (vegan) and the buffet. The buffet was somewhat low in some of the items but the server kindly let us both take as much as we wanted of what was there and brought more rice and naan bread out. We chatted a lot with the server since it wasn’t busy and he gave us a lot of great suggestions for Indian foods for breakfasts that are all vegan.

I understand fully that businesses go through issues as far as not getting enough customers. They offered the group before me a togo plate for free but did not offer me one for free because I was by myself. They were disgruntled when I asked them to make more tikki masala which is watered down with tomato sauce. I also asked them to make more chicken tandoori and they pointed at the one piece of chicken that was in there. It’s just not somewhere you want to go nowadays because when they don’t get the customers they think they deserve they cut down on the loyal customers that do come in. If you want to eat here I would say bring a group so they will show some kind of love. It’s not bad Indian food just not good customer service.

Ordered the chicken tandoori 1/2. Listed at 9.99 on all the menus. They tried charging me 16 something for it, saying that the prices had changed. Later they gave me a 5 dollar discount which left me still paying $12.48. Their lunch buffet looks nice but they don’t have the price posted. I was later told the buffet is 16 something. My chicken was fine. The rice was dry.

This food was delicious! Hot and fresh, so flavorful (as is customary with Indian food). They made it according to my spice preference. I have Vegetable Korma with Masala Chai on my first night. Followed by scrumptious Gulab Jamun (little fried dough balls soaked in a sweet syrup). Night 2 I wanted to try another local place but I couldn’t so I came back! I took the server’s recommendation of Chicken Tikka Masala and Onion Kulca with more hot spiced chai. Again, it did not disappoint. The portions are generous and I had enough leftovers from both nights to feed my family dinner when I get back home.

Would highly recommend Globe Indian Cuisine.
