Glen Park Tavern is a throwback. It’s a location filled with old school charm (in a good way). The service staff was great, the food we had was excellent and the location is in close proximity to Glen’s Falls Park.

This historic restaurant was once owned by famous Buffalo attorney and judge, James Kane, then named Kane’s Red Carpet. After being absent from the area for a while and returning, I found the ambience and decor welcoming and warm, yet familiar, hearkening me back to when it was The Red Carpet. The piano bar is long gone, but the restaurant has filled in the space nicely. An ode to the judge (“Judge’s Chambers”) hangs on the wall behind the main bar. Numerois historical photos of the restaurant and neighborhood can be found throughout. My niece and I stopped in for a late lunch, after picking her up from the airport. My mom (her grandmother) had worked there when the judge owned it so we were curious and wanted to check it out. We ordered the gouda burger and Cajun cod from the friendly waitress. Both were excellent and prepared to perfection. The waitress checked on our service the right amount of times and thanked us for coming there. Even the bar staff thanked us and said goodbye on our way out, as people were gathering at the bar after work. This entire experience rekindled wonderful memories of our times there in the 1980s. It was well worth the decision to eat there. We, and more of my family, will return.

Ordered a greek salad online for take out and asked for no tomatoes instead I got no chicken! That’s the whole salad! No chicken but still tomatoes in it. $20 for this.

My wife and I came here on a Friday. She had a Bleu cheese burger which she really loved. I had a fish fry and was quite disappointed. For $21.99 I thought it was way over priced. The fish was average size and the sides came in plastic cups and not very big at that. My fish also wasn’t quite done. The beer batter was crispy but the fish wasn’t flaky and was mushy. We will come back again and try something else but I’ll nix the fish fry.

This is definitely a Williamsville type restaurant. The clientele and staff are older than average. The beef on weck is very good. The wings are decent. The chicken fingers are different than most. They use panko bread crumbs. They could use just a pinch of salt to bring out the flavor more. All in all a decent place.

Beef on weck and sweet potato fries were great. Late 80s/early 90s pop (Jon Secada) on the radio. Took me back to getting lunch with my mom as a kid.

We hit upon this historic site (dating to 1887) after luckily staying nearby. We entered into a friendly and bustling vibe, replete with some preserved period details, full of a multi-generational crowd having a loud drink and a laugh for an early Tuesday dinner.

It’s definitely one of the best menus in the Buffalo/WNY area. The food is excellent and it’s such a “Buffalo Atmosphere” in there. Even if it’s your first time there, they’ll make you feel like a regular. One of my favorite restaurants around the 716!

Waited over 30 min for a table on a Thursday night. Not a complaint, staff was excellent. Food was great, I like their wings more than some others we’ve been recommended.
