Wherever you are in the World, find a way to get to Gladys. Its fantastic!!! The food and the people. This place is clean. The food is hot. Did I say delicious??? We love this place. People were lined up before it opened. Try the smothered anything. Cheese broccoli casserole. Don’t forget – you can’t leave without the butterball dessert. I’m telling you! Don’t leave without trying it. !!!

Please be advised that they open when they get ready. DO NOT get there @10-30-11:00 because you will be standing in line for a hour or hour in a half. If you call, they will tell you they open at 11:30 but that is FAR from true. If someone else calls after you, they will tell them 12n; maybe they will…maybe they won’t. They posted a menu Sunday but some of the items were not available place is way too small. You will be in a long line outside & once you get inside. Why she won’t choose a different location and bigger space, I have yet to figure that out. Parking space is super small (limited). Food is not good as it use to be. Owner knows there is no other competition in town & that y’all will keep coming back. I wish someone else would open a soul food spot that cares about the customer and better selection of food.

Wonderful down Georgia cooking. I’m visiting from Arizona my niece and her family in Americus. They took me to Glady’s Kitchen and oh my, what a treat. I had the smothered chicken and gravey over rice, turnip greens, green beans and the cornbread muffin. Speaking as a born and raised Georgia boy, those turnips were yummie. That chicken talked to me during the entire meal. Whoa it was good. The green beans stirred my soul. This is a food bar where they serve you from their selections…and they are generous in size. Getting us fed was a smooth and quick process. The music was just a tiny bit loud for me but it did not take away from the taste of this mighty good food. I’d like to eat there again when I’m back in the area.
