Two Greek immigrants, George Baldas and Louie Coredas, opened the G&L sandwich shop in downtown Muskegon on Western Ave. in 1926. Known for their AMAZING Greek chili dog, speedy service and generous portions G&L has not only survived but thrived into 4 stores and 1 food truck located across the greater Muskegon area in West Michigan. It still offers the legendary Greek chili dog while also serving up great hamburgers, sandwiches, soup, salads & sides. Dine-in, drive thru and take-out available.

Stopped through drive through for a quick cheeseburger, strips & a shake. Couldn’t understand why my bill was so high ($26!)After looking at my receipt I was charged $0.40 for each condiment placed on my burger this included ketchup and mayonnaise & pickle. I have never in my life had pay for a condiment on a burger unless it was cheese! Then I wondered why I was charged for a sauce for my strips and they told me it’s because I did not order the special I had to pay for my own sauce. So when I spend more and get the special and buy fries then I’m able to get a sauce? This is absolutely insane and you have lost my business. The special would of only cost .80 more after what i paid for sauce. Manager acted like my concern wasn’t valid as “thats the way we do it” with a “have a nice day” & shuts the windows! Do better!

First time at G&L. Wow. Amazing food and service and such a fair price. Only $7.50 for 2 loaded chili dogs and fries. The chili cheese dogs were so delicious. The buns were soft and the chili was awesome. I highly recommend a stop. You will not be disappointed. I can’t wait to try the new smash burgers.

I tried the Greek Chili Dog and Chicago Dog. So good! My son said his burger was tasty as well. The fries could’ve used some seasoning though. The lobby was closed so we had to use the drive thru. It was a long wait, even though there were only two cars ahead of me.

Nothing fancy. Once upon a time G&L offered a quick and inexpensive lunch for Muskegon’s factory workers and downtown shoppers. Well, today the factories are mostly gone and the town is undergoing another renewal– but Muskegon’s taste for these hot dogs has remained unabated, an artifact of a lost time.

Great shakes. I reccomend the pumpkin spice the ruben dogs are great but the gyro wraps are better! Don’t order the Greek dog bc its just an chili dog ♂️

Muskegon’s original Greek chilli dog since 1926, and still my favorite. Sat down & ordered, within 3 minutes my chilli dog was in front of me. Great food at good prices, $1.70 for a chili dog.The most expensive thing on the menu is my namesake sandwich, a Reuben @ $8 and it comes with fries or chips. Their switch to paper straws from plastic shows respect for the Lake Michigan ecosystem and our planet. Now they need to switch to uncured nitrate and nitrite free hotdogs. I’d eat here more often if they did.
