I had the lasagna. Wow is all I can say. I keep thinking about it and want to go back just for that. The atmosphere is relaxed but upscale at the same time. Our server was amazing. I highly recommend coming here if you have never been.

It’s a red flag when owners give lengthy responses to negative reviews with excuses and blaming the bad experience on their guests. I’ve worked in the service industry and it’s understood that not everyone will like your offerings but quality restaurants will take feedback as an opportunity to do better next time. Customer reviews are typically pretty honest, especially when it’s coming from multiple different parties of guests.

Beautiful patio. Slow service. Escargot was good; beet salad was mediocre at best. Pasta dish was good; fish was well prepared but accompanying potatoes and vegetables were cold and soggy and there were very few of them–in fact all the portions were rather small, especially considering the price. Dessert was ok. Will try some of the other restaurants in this price range in the area before going back here. Also fairly close to the train tracks and had a “My Cousin Vinny” experience with a loud freight train passing by during the meal.

Our first visit tonight and unfortunately our last. We were really looking forward to eating at Girasole. First it took over an hour to get the meal. Server told us twice it would be out shortly. When it arrived I ordered the pasta with clams in white sauce. It was inedible. It tasted like they dropped the salt shaker in it, the pasta was not cooked and the clams had grit on them. When I told them I couldn’t eat it they offered to bring me something else but I didn’t want to wait another hour (we had already been sitting there 1 1/2 hours by then). They did offer to bring me a slice of bread but I declined all I wanted was water and to leave. Such a disappointment and we won’t be making the drive again. They didn’t charge for my meal so I guess that was a positive.

Truly a hidden gem in the small town of the Plains! We came here for my husband’s 42nd birthday. The menu items had many selections including a few specials and the food was perfect fist sized portions. The pasta is all made in house which is rare indeed.

I enjoyed a delicious meat Lasagna. We love the bread that is brought at the beginning. We had the fried calamari and fried mozzarella which were delicious. We sat inside but there was a large party seated outside. We love coming here for special occasions.

Such a cozy Italian restaurant tucked in the beautiful countryside of Virginia. Really friendly staff and the food is very good. The fresh baked bread is a must and worth the calories lol. The pear and Walnut salad is a huge recommend!

This place has ambiance, but the food is aweful and it’s waaaay overpriced. I had the lobster pasta and it was undercooked (not al-dente) just undercooked, and had an overpowering fish flavor. The lobster flavor was ruined. The steak tasted old and wasn’t fresh nor was it the size promised and even the branzino was mediocre at best. We paid $200 for 1 tiny appetizer and 3 main courses. So not worth it and very disappointing.
