This place right here is absolutely amazing! The inside is clean, smells great; the employees are polite and have a welcoming atmosphere! Gip Got Tips made 4 out of five from me. I only got the rib tips & nothing else. First time out I always order the same – only the tips. These rib tips were stellar! Have never had thin sliced on the bias before. Had a distinct smoke ring enviable by any Q fiend. Tasted like a good dry rub and maybe a light mop sauce for good measure. Perhaps a touch over cooked but reminded me of burnt ends. No bones & I would’ve liked more cartilage. Dip on the side was okay (not too thick or sweet, lacking good heat). Would have liked more options. These rib tips are worthy of a throw down!!

Got a rib tip dinner with two sides. The ribs themselves were cooked to perfection but they smother them in the absolute worst bbq sauce I’ve ever had. The sauce is basically straight sugar with no flavor whatsoever.

This BBQ spot is amazing! The food was flavorful, tender, and clearly made with love. The service was friendly and welcoming from start to finish. I really appreciate supporting a Black-owned business that takes so much pride in what they do. Everything—from the sides to the sauce—was on point. I”d been looking for a place that sold good smoky rib tips and I found it!!! It satisfied my craving completely. I ordered a large tip just to make sure I would have enough to make me full. To my surprise, I has enough for lunch the next day! There were two layers of perfectly sliced, smoked outta this world pork rib tips. There were NOT drowned in sauce. They were sauced evenly. I also ordered a side of fries that were seasoned and not hard or dry. I should’ve ordered a side of sauce to dip them in though. Its a 10/10 for me. I’ll be making that 30 minute drive again!

Got the tips and they were fresh and tender. Well seasoned And not too salty. Very flavorful. The sauce was a miss for me. I’m glad I got it on the side. Not much flavor and kinda sorta sweet with a little pepper and vinegar.
Tips were pricey but excellent. Nice presentation and service was friendly. Now to go back and try the chicken!

Gip got Tips was catered to the BBQ in the Backyard event hosted by the Indiana Black Chamber and wow – I cleared my plate! Ribs were flavorful, the potato salad , Mac and cheese and green beans tied everything together! I normally dont eat out but if I feel lazy I will for sure come here for a meal!

We had a BBQ pitch in for my job. At first they was talking about going to king ribs since we work on the west side on 16th & Crawfordsville rd. But our friend Britt suggested this to us. Definitely glad we ordered. I live on the east side & this will be my goto bbq spot! The meat first off smelled magnificent, the presentation was up to standard & the flavor was absolutely GREAT! I think for 2 half pans for $140 wasn’t bad at all bc it was so much meat. The chicken… their chicken was over expectations it was flavorful & moist, the pork had a great flavor top & the way they slice it makes it more than enough. They have it for pork lovers & for non pork lovers. Oh customer service was a very professional & wonderful experience.
