Our Story
Our first restaurant location was opened back in 1977 in Lynn, Massachusetts. It was opened as Giovanni`s House of Pizza. Pizzas, subs, salads were our menu. There were a few items but were made fresh every day. As the years have passed, there have been other locations that have opened and the menu has changed. We still offer pizza, subs, and salads. We still continue to make everything fresh every day. We have added more items to our menu, more locations, and more ways to order. Times have changed, families have grown, and more locations have opened. The one constant theme is to provide fresh quality food at a reasonable price.

I got my husband the haddock sandwich meal. It was pathetic. Gave a small roll either a decent size fish. I got the chicken finger dinner. Chicken was to well done the terracki glaze was good.

The service was good waitstaff were attentive and know they’re job but its pizza shop with tables. The food is excellent for such a place and prices. The flavor and perfect texture of the auldanté Piniti and shrimp blended with the sauce they provided and aheaping helping that we were able the take home half. And enjoy again it was so good. The price was quite reasonable for the serving size. I thought it was a gem in the rough.

I’ve lived in Salem for 20 years, and we’ve tried every sub shop in town at somepoint. But we never ordered from Giovanni’s for whatever reason ♂️. Recently, this has been our go to for take-out! The Food is always good and consistent. Their steak and cheese sub is unmatched, and it’s not even close!!!

The chicken fingers remind me of those processed chicken nuggets the meat wasnt solid… its hard to describe… and i could be way off here but the cheese on my steak cheese seemed like a kraft single processed dairy product… and if you ask for bacon on a syeak and cheese prepare for it to be chopped up with the steak and the fatty chunks to be very noticable…

So glad I stopped here tonight for my favorite broccoli, chicken, alfredo calzone. Giovanni’s makes the best and it’s so good dipping it in the house dressing I’m in heaven

A generic pizza and roast beef place. If you are down for something quick, warm, and greasy, this is a good stop.
That said, they tend to get things wrong. I ordered an Italian Sub and, while it totally had all the stuff that an Italian Sub should have, it was in a wrap rather than a sub roll. Weird.

They have decent pizza. However, I ordered a few subs from them and was not happy at all. Very gross with the food all over the wrapper and very greasy and sloppy. I will not be ordering another sub from Giovannis ever again.

Just picked up this roast beef sandwich. Looks like a leftover sandwich from a week ago. Probably the worst roast beef sandwich I’ve ever had. And roast beef is in their name! Never coming back here again.
